Tell me not to worry that she is 3 months old and has absolutely no interest in rolling over. She doesn't push up on her hands/arms at all. Usually if I put her on her stomach she realizes her hand is near her face and sticks her fist in her mouth. If I put her on my chest for tummy time she will lift up her head some, but again not really using her arms. She's got great head control but when is she going to realize her arms do something?
she is also an excellent kicker. She will whine until we put her on her playmat where she can kick her piano like crazy.
is she just going to figure this out on her own? Do I need to just lay her on her tummy on the floor for awhile and trust she will eventually get the idea?
ok that makes me feel better. #2 reason I left the bump (#1 being the sheer number of idiots) was because I knew I'd get in the comparison game on my BMB, especially bad since Squirms came a month early so is on her own timeline. Some chick at mom's group the other day was all "oh my baby starting rolling over at 2 weeks he's so gifted yadayadayada".
DS is five months and started rolling from back to tummy about two weeks ago, so I wouldn't worry! Just let her have tummy time and floor time each day (ie not always in a carrier or swing etc) and she will be fine.
and also my SIL's kids all roll over and STTN at 2 months
We call those magic/not real babies.
Layla rolled one way after 4 mths, maybe even later. The other way took forever.
However, she was good at holding things with her fingers. Every kid has different things. Sleeping, eating, burping champions. And when they are 7 yrs old, most can roll over.

DS is 4 months and not rolling yet. He throws his hips to one side which makes me think we're close but not quite yet. About the above- we have the same SIL except her Dd has sttn since birth and she tells everyone how "laid back" her baby is but she is the complete opposite of that.
Also, my two younger cousins didn't start talking until they were like 2 years. As in zero words. They are both absurdly smart, especially the older one. Kids do things on their own time; I wouldn't stress.

My DS rolled/fell over a couple times from tummy to back at 2mo, but didn't actually do it on purpose (back to tummy) until 4 mo. He's 5mo now and just this week figured out how to roll from tummy to back. Of my friends' kids, they were rolling between 4-6 mo.

Oh and with regards to tummy time, he randomly started lifting his head and looking around at 4 months to the day. Before that it was just face-plant and scream
Eh, DD was at the tail end of "normal" for every single physical milestone (she did one random roll really early and then not again for months. She didn't crawl until 11.5mo, walked at 16mo, etc).
She's probably never going to be considered "athletic" but considering the amazing athletic inability of her parents, this is not a surprise. But she is normal.

I don't remember how old DD was when she rolled over, but it was at least 4 months, probably older. And for the longest time she could roll back to front, but not front to back. She would get stuck (and pissed!) Rolling over is overrated anyway. A mobile baby is lots more work :-)
DS also rolled front to back at about 5 months, and the other way at 6 months. He's almost 8 months and still cannot sit unassisted. I am not worried, all babies are different. 3 months is very early for rolling over. Just keeping doing tummy time and all of a sudden she will be rolling.
My dd rolled over really early (yummy to back). I think it was around 2 months? I'd have to go back and look. She has also been STTN since 5 weeks. She is a little younger than your dd, though (13 weeks) but was a week late. She also has reflux, though, and is extremely fussy. I would trade the rolling over early and sttn fir no reflux and a normal amount of fussiness any day, if that helps.
DD was more than 7 months old when she first rolled over. And she's never been considered late in hitting any of her milestones, even if it was later compared to others' kids.
Another vote for every kid being on their own timeline - don't stress it!
Is it horrible for me to admit that I don't even remember when my kid rolled over for the first time? And it isn't written down anywhere either. oops.
Sounds like she is doing great, and rolling over doesn't mean much in the grand scheme
Me either! Reading this thread where everyone knows when their kids rolled over made me feel so guilty for not keeping a list of these things. If DD ever asks when she met most of her physical milestones in the first year, she is going to get disappointingly vague/uncertain answers.
DS was almost 5 months when he stated rolling over. And he despised tummy time so we didn't do it a lot. He turned out to be an early walker, so he's fine. They all operate on their own timeline. Squirms is totally fine!
