I think what got me worried initially was the pedi asked at her 2 month appt if she was rolling yet and I was like "uhhhhh..." I asked when that was supposed to happen and she said 4 months, which seems really early for my baby since she came a month early. I will chillax and hopefully the pedi will not make an issue of it at our 4 mo appt. If she does we might need to find a doctor that is more laid back about such things.
I'm late to this party, but neither of my boys rolled until they were 5 months. They were both super chubby (16lbs each at 2 months) and just couldn't lift their weight to roll. both were crawling at 8 months and walking at a year despite the late rolling.

I'm on your BMB (OUKatie) and my DD is rolling over but there are other things that she's not doing yet (like giggling - she just smiles really big). I just remind myself to not stress about it. There is a wide window of "normal" for developmental milestones and I think most kids tend to hit some early, some in the middle, and some "late" even if they were born full term. Physical ones are just the most obvious but they aren't any more important than other developmental milestones. Really, don't stress over it (easier said than done, I know).
DD was over 7 months. I only remember because she did it then because she began to crawl the same week.
There are a lot more things to be freaking out over than this. Please relax, because you are going to give yourself a heart attack worrying about all the little things. If that means quitting TB, then so be it.

My pedi asked this at DD's 1-month appt last week! I felt like such a failure then...but now I feel better
DD didn't roll over until about 6 months. She could sit (if I put her in that position) before she could roll over. She just had zero interest. She's now the most coordinated and physically able of all her friends. DS rolled really early at just before 3 months, but DD walked almost 2 months before DS did. She went from sedentary to full on mobile really fast. There's such a wide range of normal, and it really doesn't have anything to do with where they will fall among their peers, as far as being gifted, as an older child.
