Does anybody use the powder version of buttermilk? Every time I buy buttermilk it goes to waste so wanted to give it a shot, was just curious whether anybody has any experience with it.

I've thought about the powder, but even that would sit around for ages. It's just easier, more cost efficient, and takes up less space in my kitchen to toss some lemon juice in milk and let it sit while I get the rest of my ingredients together.

I use it and like it. I've had a container in there for a couple of years and I think it's got a couple more to go before it expires. For the amount I use it is cheaper than using real buttermilk and even milk since milk is a hot commodity in my house. Couple of tablespoons with water and I'm good to go!
