Guess I'll introduce myself, too

Hi! I think I'm going to be hanging out here a lot more now that DH and I have bought a house! I'm Kelly, almost 29, and I was usually on NBR on TN. I like it here on ProBoards a lot better and am exploring some of the other boards a bit more since the migration.

We closed on our 72-year-old Cape Cod on April 30th and have been working on it every spare minute since then. Ideally, we're hoping to move on June 2nd, but I'm thinking we might have to push that back a week or so. We've been busy ripping up carpet, painting walls and trim, and sanding, staining, and finishing hardwood floors. We're also going to be figuring out how to lay lock-n-snap hardwood soon in our smallest room.

We have a beagle and an orange cat and we love them to death. Kids someday, we hope. I love our house already and I'm trying for a farmhouse feel-- I absolutely adored my great-grandma's house when I was a kid and our house is reminiscent of it somehow. Glad to meet you all. ;D
