In terms of pain, I stopped Norco after I went home, but did take ibuprofen for a while. My carpal tunnel took weeks to feel better, unfortunately. Even with a c-section, you'll likely have bleeding for a few weeks. I still needed pads for the first week at least.
I hope you're feeling better soon! If it doesn't seem right, give your doctor a call.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
You might still feel out of sorts 4 weeks pp after a c-section -- everyone's healing is different. My first c-section the recovery was terribly tough and took weeks before I felt limited pain and myself again. My second was a scheduled c-section and I bounced back like 2 weeks after the delivery.
I had carpal tunnel with my first and it went away about 4 months later -- I even went to a wrist specialist and had an MRI thinking I tore something and he was insistent on PT to help it feel better since it was only carpal tunnel. I also thinking lifting the baby car seat carrier to and from the car does not help with getting rid of the carpal tunnel but I promise it will eventually go away.
As for the bleeding, that can go anywhere from 3 weeks to 7/8 weeks on some women. It all depends on your activity level, are you nursing, etc... and how quickly your uterus returns to normal size.
Finally, I would take the pain meds while you need them. If you go off too early you will feel more pain, stress your body out and it will take longer time to heal and then your baby will sense your body is stressed and react to that too. So take the meds so long as you need them. You just had MAJOR abdominal surgery!
Good luck and welcome to mommy-hood, it's an amazing ride!
My carpal tunnel did not go away until maybe a month PP. I was in a lot of pain for those first several weeks too. I'm not sure when I stopped with the pain meds, but it was definitely longer than 2 weeks - maybe closer to 4. Give yourself some time, a c section is major surgery.
I was on percocet for 2 weeks and then on tylenol q4 for at least 2 weeks. I wish I had done tylenol instead of percocet for the second week because it put me in such a fog but I was in too much pain.
I bleed for 6 weeks even though the doctors said he "cleaned me out nice" but it wasn't heavy the whole six weeks.

I was of the norco by the time I went home - but I did continue to take the ibuprofen for a while after wards. I didn't have carpal tunnel, so I can't answer that, but I know I still had bleeding (enough for a pad) at that point. As others have said, keep up with the ibuprofen & norco if you need it.
With my c-section, I felt really bad for about 2 weeks. The first week home I was a total wreck, still on the same pain meds (Vicodin and ibuprofen) at the same dose as at the hospital. I had trouble going up and down the stairs, getting in and out of the bed, standing up from using the toilet, etc... The second week was a little better, and I pushed myself to move around b/c DH was going back to work. I was off the pain meds by the end of the second week. I was functional at the end of two weeks, but I didn't do anything difficult (like carrying groceries for example) until probably closer to 4 weeks. I was completely healed by 6 weeks. Give it time, every body is different. You *just* had major abdominal surgery, give yourself all the time you need to heal.
I bled a lot for about 3 weeks, then it gradually tapered off. I think I wore pads for 3 weeks, then panty liners for another two.

i was in the hospital for 4 nights... when i was home it was about another week that i needed to be on pain meds. Don't worry about trying to get off of them so fast - and stagger them so you aren't having any time when you are totally not on anything.
after 2 weeks I only took percocet at night, and advil during the day (4 of them)... and then by week 3 i didn;t need anything at all.

I stayed on the anti-inflammatories for almost 2 weeks. Maybe not round the clock, but at least once a day. Bleeding was up and down. But continued for 3-4 weeks. Maybe more. It felt like forever. Carpal tunnel lasted probably about 4-6 weeks. Carrying the baby doesnt help.
Good luck, dont overdo it. It will come back to bite you.
