I think people do sposies at dc and cloth at home. The information is definitely overwhelming at first. It's easier once you learn a little at a time. I found it helpful to watch youtube videos. I guess I'm more of a visual learner. I really liked mamanaturals videos on cloth diapering www.youtube.com/user/MamaNaturalBlog?feature=watch
I also searched a lot of videos that compare the different kinds. I joined a few cloth diapering chat groups on facebook and now I'm pretty confident that I can do it and probably even answer questions for others (at least on the differences.. I don't have any real life experience yet obviously)
We plan on cloth diapering for sure. A friend of mine is giving us the gift of fuzzibunz (.com) for our baby's arrival because we had been discussing cloth diapering. I know it's a little ridiculous and unnecessary in terms of fashion forward baby bottoms, but it's cute. We are also going to use traditional cloth diapers as well. We're not sure about the work schedule set for our day care ideas but my parents will be playing a huge role. If we do the dc route, we will more than likely do disposables for daycare.

I really want to, but H does the laundry and he is less than enthusiastic about the idea. There's a diaper lab near us that offers classes in cloth diapering, so I'm hoping to take him to it so he can see how great it is. We do know that we probably will have to do disposables for day care and for when visiting family, though, so I guess we're playing it by ear for now.
Actually I do princess cloth, which means I use a service that picks up my dirty diapers and delivers me clean ones every week. All the smug satisfaction with none of the work!

I plan on using prefolds for the bulk of my newborn stash. I haven't bought any yet... there are too many options and I can't just pick out the cute ones since they're not cute
We're considering using a cloth diaper delivery service. That's what my mom used with me and my sister growing up. We have communal washers/dryers in our apt building, and I'm sure our neighbors wouldn't be thrilled with me washing diapers in them.
