Where are you on the TTC journey? (cycles, days, appointments, whatever) CD1, cycle #3.
Why did you choose the (attempted) spacing between kids? We're aiming for a baby next summer because DH is a teacher and home july/august. I want them fairly close because my job has awesome mat leave benefits, but I don't really like it. So I want to have them, pay back my owed time, and probably move on.
Anything random to add? I feel like a TTC noob because last time, it happened the first month. Nothing to agonize over. No waiting. This is harder. Plus with still breastfeeding + night waking, it feels really difficult to try to chart.
How old is/are your other kid(s)? My kid is 3 years today. She is spoiled rotten. I don't know how she will handle a sibling but she always asks for one.
Where are you on the TTC journey? (cycles, days, appointments, whatever) Cycle two of not using condoms. I haven't been on a hormonal BC for years. Makes me a little crazy.
Why did you choose the (attempted) spacing between kids? I don't like that my kids will be so far apart. But we had to space them like this because we couldn't afford having two in daycare. After some debt repayment (car payment we where doubling up on) we can do two.
Anything random to add? Here is a pic of my cutie pie to celebrate her 3rd birthday.

How old is/are your other kid(s)? My son, Linus, is 22 months. He'll be 2 in December! Hard to believe.
Where are you on the TTC journey? (cycles, days, appointments, whatever) Cycle #5, CD9
Why did you choose the (attempted) spacing between kids? Well, I wanted L to be about two when the next one was born, but it's taken longer than I wanted, so he'll be almost exactly 2 and a half. Not to bad of a gap, IMO.
Anything random to add? I agree that ttc number 2 has been more difficult than the first. We got KU quite quickly before and all this sexing is exhausting with an existing toddler in the picture.
Where are you on the TTC journey? (cycles, days, appointments, whatever) cycle 7/8ish in the 2ww - I've lost count at this point...
Why did you choose the (attempted) spacing between kids? I was hoping to be pg by now... mostly b/c I figured having them closer would be better than too far apart. plus, we're getting old.
Anything random to add? It's been so much more difficult this time around ... with #1 it took maybe 3 or 4 cycles... we're getting ready to consult with dr.s to see if there's anything medically going on. Not that it matters since we have exactly $0 fertility treatment coverage - including medication. booo.

I'm crashing this thread to mention some potentially helpful info.
Anyone of you who is worried about there being "too much of a gap" between your kiddos, I say fear not! I'm the oldest, and I have one sibling that's 3.5 years younger and another that's eleven years younger, and I am (and have always been) very close with both.
So if that's the reason the gap is a concern for any of you, I'm just posting to let you know that it has had zero effect on me. We have been thick as thieves since the beginning

How old is/are your other kid(s)? 3.5 years
Where are you on the TTC journey? (cycles, days, appointments, whatever) We just hit the 3 year mark of TTC. We've had many failed iuis and 1 failed IVF. Currently on a non-medicated cycle. We are pushing IVF#2 back until early next year.
Why did you choose the (attempted) spacing between kids? We didn't choose the spacing. We started TTC when DD was 6 months old. We waited until 18 months to start with the medicated cycles. We wanted to try without meds first and I couldn't use meds while breastfeeding. I don't really have strong feelings about the spacing. There are positives and negatives to having them closer together or farther apart. We were mostly hoping to have them closer together because we want a large family.
