Ovulation Pain?

Does ovulation pain occur before, during or after ovulation?

I should be ovulating at any moment now (I think, I kinda suck at charting) and am having menstrual cramps feeling on my left side. Last month I also had ovulation bleeding, but no sign of that yet...

I've been off BC for two months and any kind of pain near my ovaries makes me super nervous since I am prone to ovarian cysts and it was only my BC keeping them away.

If you are no good at charting then I recommend OPK's. The only PITA is that you have to pee in a cup around O time. But so far it's super easy. I always feel crampy on the day that I O. I also break out and feel bloated and have tender breasts.

I do not temp, but used OPK for the last cycle. I got two positive days and the second day I had painful cramping and lots of bloating. I also worry about cysts, I had the same thing!!

Thanks, I have heard of MittleSchmerz before, but I wasn't sure when it occurred exactly in relation to ovulation. But, from what I've read, it can be before, during or after ovulation.
