I actually flew to Chicago (live in Seattle) with my mom. I think it was the first trip we've taken just the two of us in over 20 years. My grandma was an alumn and supporter of the Northwestern School of Music and they were having a groundbreaking ceremony for a new building. So we flew in for that and spent the weekend at my grandparents (both of whom have passed away) old farm going through things. It was fun and emotional to bring up all of those memories.

I cleaned house and met with realtor #2 on Saturday (she is MUCH more positive than realtor #1 -- meeting with #3 tomorrow) and then yesterday, I finished touching up paint in the dining "room" and made H clean out the garage, take recycling and storage unit stuff over, fix the lawn mower (that he overfilled with oil) and touch up paint on the ceilings (so I didn't have to get on the ladder more than I had to -- he does NOT paint walls well lol). I have one last room to fix paint in (because I didn't get it mixed well or the paint color changed -- I don't know which) and then I'm done. H has to help me with that because if we have to repaint the entire room, he will have to stand on the counters and paint over the cabinets, I can't get close enough!
Weekend was meh. Worked Saturday morning, had dinner at a friend's house, but wasn't feeling 100%. Sunday it was 90 degrees, and our centrail air decided to stop working. Super fun. So we spent the day trying to stay cool. Good news is that we're getting quotes to have the furnace and central air replaced. It's time to just be done with it.
I worked Saturday, but Saturday night we were both exhausted and just sat on the couch, ate pizza, and watched Swamp People.
Sunday was church and working on the house. I finished staining the upstairs floors and we got the first coat of polyurethane on both of the upstairs rooms. I also painted a pair of thrift-store nightstands.
Thanks emo! It's somewhat routine but apparently we didn't get here quick enough for it to be too easy. I'm sure everything will be fine but he is not a happy camper.

We drove a total of 750 miles this weekend going to a wedding Saturday and a graduation on Sunday. It was fun to see everyone but I am tired and ready for more days off
