H and I freaked out tonight. One minute Sammy was laying in bed peacefully sleeping and the next she was throwing up like I've never seen her do (in her short 15 day life). It was chunky and she was crying so hard we thought she couldn't breathe. She is also stuffed up. I sucked snot out of her nose.
Anyways. Waiting at after hours. I'm sure all is well, but better safe than sorry.

I'm glad that everything is okay. I don't think that is normal... that nurse sounds like a bitch. I HATE doctors and nurses that think they know what is better for your child than you do. The doctor up here try to scare me into allowing them to put a catheter in Lila when I knew she didn't need it... then tried to make me feel like I was a horrible mother. He was an ASSHOLE.

We don't know whats up with the vomiting. We are going to lay low. We've been out and about quite a bit in Sammy's 2 weeks of life. Family has come and gone so tomorrow is a day in bed!
Poor baby girl and you guys too. That nurse was a jerk. I will always do what makes me feel the best in that particular situation when it involves Mia. What did you say to her? H would've had to make me maintain because I would've wanted to give her a piece of my mind and suggest that with that attitude maybe she should change professions.
Ok. Anyway. Yes babies do cry and you probably do need to get used to it. But they need you to look out for them and that's what you and Dave did last night. Next time you feel in your gut that your baby needs to be seen, bring that baby in and don't let some tired nurse make you feel like you are being crazy. Nobody knows that baby better than you. I can't wait to see her again! (Pleasegodhelpmakemestopsneezing...) And fwiw, Amelia vomited a couple times. I am pretty sure it was because she was just too full of milk but a few times (literally like 3) she projectiled an insane amount, and it's freaky when it happens. She never cried with it though. If she did I would have taken her in too.
Were you at the after care office for our pedi practice? Did you talk to the nurse line first? Those nurses have been pretty good the few times I've called. Not as good as seeing a Dr but good to help ground you if you need to talk something out.
