What odds and ends can I get now? We are going to CD, so I will have probably half a stash by the time they are born. Then well add more to the stash once we decide what brands we prefer.
I also have cloth wipes, and a large box of disposable wipes that I got on Amazon during a sale.
I find out the sex next week, and don't want to go crazy on clothing as I know it's often gifted.
What other things can I add to Amazon orders here and there, that I may be thankful for in a few months? I hate shopping in stores, and we like to have bulk/backup of consumable items to reduce shopping frequency.
I know that I will likely become brand loyal, but there must be something I can buy now? I want to shop, even if just a little!
We'll start prepping the nursery in Nov. We need to get rid of the bed in that room first, and paint.
nasal aspirator, mylicon drops, baby wash and lotion, diaper cream, socks (never seemed to have enough of those) stuff for when the baby gets older and things people never buy-teething tablets, an amber necklace, ibuprofen and acetaminophen
Ohh, amber necklaces are on green baby steals today! I will compare and see if they are reasonably priced.
Breastmilk storage bags, if you will be pumping @ work. You won't need them daily, but sometimes you will.
Baby toiletries, if you plan to use anything special. We didn't use a "baby" branded anything, but did buy Dove barsoap in advance.
Bottle nipples?
Baby socks -- for some reason, people don't seem to give you those when they give you clothing.
Liquid tylenol. When DS was born it was called "infant", but there was a change to the available strengths, done to try to prevent accidental misdosing. So you'd need to see what the right thing is to buy.
Diaper cream or something to serve that purpose (coconut oil works well).
Btw -- you said "they" -- did I miss that you're having twins??

The best thing I did was buy and read Happiest Baby on the Block and Health Sleep Habits, Happy Twins (so get the singleton version in your case) before the babies got here b/c after you aren't going to feel like it.
do you have any baby books? HBOTB, or any books about sleep? I really like Weissbluth for sleep.
Yes, we go to the bookstore on weekends probably 2-3 times a month. Each visit we buy at least one book, if not several. It was the first thing we started buying.
Wait - you're talking about parenting books. I only have pregnancy books. Hmm... I'm more of a Kindle/iPad reader, but a hard copy would be handy to have so I could more easily highlight, etc. Maybe I will snag a couple of these along the way, too.

I love Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child or whatever it's called.
Sorry, no, just one baby. As I don't know the sex I keep referring to them as they instead of "the baby" or "it". I'm probably using it out of place, and keep catching myself.

Post-partial stuff for you like granny panties. You can steal a bunch of the mesh ones from the hospital, but grab a pack of Hanes that you can throw out as needed. Maybe some nursing supplies, but not a ton in case it doesn't work out- nipple cream, disposable nursing pads and Bamboobies (I love Bamboobies now, but it was a good 2-3 months before I felt safe enough in them. I had crazy letdown, and soaked right through them while feeding).
I also bought a small mattress pad that I slept on toward the end because I was afraid of my water breaking in bed. I didn't need it for that, but it was nice to have post-partum. Several friends said they just took one from the hospital, but I didn't think of that.
None of this is really fun to buy, but it helped to have on hand.
Ohh, maybe I will put a chucks pad under the sheets later in pregnancy. That's really smart. You can even buy larger ones made by Huggies or Pampers for bed wetting. Good thinking!
I didn't read any sleep books (and still haven't), I just read blogs when needed.
We really didn't stock up on anything... we got some wipes when they were on sale and larger sizes of diapers for DC when they were at a stock up price. I waited to order my milk storage bags and a number of other things until Amazon sent me my registry completion code.
We bought only a few bottles and we're glad that we did because we quickly found out that the flow was too fast for him. I did get a bunch of disposable nursing pads, which were handy.
Avent pacifiers... we bought a pack every time we went to Target... I just started doing the same thing with Amazon.
If you're going to be paying for daycare, I would start putting that money in a savings account so that you are used to the expense. (Not really helping with the shopping need, though.)

Ah, pacifiers. That's a good idea. I hear that it's good to have a few different varities so you can figure out what they prefer.
DC - we've been "paying" savings about 2x the DC cost for about a year now, to get used to having less disposable income. I'm really happy we've done that. I think we may tap that and then going forward use bonus $ for DC, so in our minds, it doesn't feel like we're really paying at all. (Though of course it's a wash as all money sits in the same spot.) But still! lol

Nail clippers Baby nail file (these were so much easier in the early months) Infant Tylenol Saline drops Nose Frida Earth Mama Angel Baby Bottom Balm (cd friendly) Earth Mama Angel Baby Nipple Butter (if you're bfing)
We have a diaper bag just for daycare. (instead of using our regular diaper bag) This way each bag is always stocked & ready to go. The daycare bag is actually a tote, which is much easier to pack a full day supply of bottles, diapers, extra clothes, etc.
Check your daycare's supply list, most likely they'll require a few supplies to keep at the center. (comb, diaper cream, change of clothes, etc)
