Are there things to do besides laying on the beach and water sports.
We may be going there the first week in December. I originally wanted a more active vacation (Europe) but due to work/kid scheduling we may be going to St Thomas instead. I'm not complaining :-) but just am curious if there is enough to do for 4-5 days. I can only lay on the beach so much.
I admit I have done absolutely no research so far so I know nothing.
Would it be better to stay on St John? We were thinking the Ritz on St Thomas (we have a gift certificate for part). Would St. John be better? Looking for a few activities and good food and wine.
We were on St. John for a week. They have great snorkling, a great rainforest hike guided by the National Park Service, lots of great beaches....etc....everything is very clean and nice. People are friendly. I mean if you have a GC for a hotel on St. Thomas I would use that, but I think it is def. worth a trip over to St. John for a day or two.
Another one chiming in for St. John. We were there a week and didn't get to half the stuff we wanted to do. It's cleaner, smaller, and less touristy than St. Thomas.
