Do I head to the vet?

I have an almost 8 year old Chihuahua Pomeranian mix. All day today she has acted really sad, wants to go on the deck and then back in every five minutes, won't play...she doesn't even want a belly rub.

She hasn't eaten or drank much today, but she did accept a treat. I called the vet and they said it was my call if I want to bring her in, but her gums are fine and her tummy doesn't feel full or bloated. She's breathing ok, too.

I'm so worried about her...she's my baby Do I just keep an eye on her or do I bring her to the vet?

Change in behavior is enough to make me bring her in for a checkup. Maybe she's constipated? Gassy? But either way, I'd definitely take her (if it were me).

Not me. I'd use the same rules as my DD. Is she urinating or making tears? Have a fever? I kinda think doctor/vet visits are traumatizing and don't do them without good symptoms.

No fever, she's urinating and pooping fine, took her on a walk, which seemed to perk her up.

I'd keep an eye out on her. If it stays like this for a few days I'd take her in. Be careful if she's not drinking because she could get dehydrated.

You could try feeding her some chicken and rice to see if that perks up her appetite.
