3AM potty

I've only had my dog for about 7 weeks, so we're still trying to get to know each other. She's 2 years old and came to us house trained.

Within the past week she's started waking me up around 3AM every morning to go potty. She runs outside, does her thing and comes right back in to sleep.
I do let her out right before bed (9pmish) and some times she goes then and sometimes she doesn't. I wake up with her around 5am to have breakfast and for a walk. She'll usually potty before I go to work too.

I'm pretty sure her bladder is fine because she can hold it while we're at work (9 hours). She's eating, drinking and acting fine. She's pretty much going on this schedule:
3AM
6AM
4PM
6PM
9PM (sometimes)

The 3AM bathroom breaks have only started happening within the last week and she does go every single time. Do I need to be concerned or is this the way it is now? TIA!

Do you go to bed at 9? if you stay up later, I would wait until you are physically going to bed to let her out. I would also suggest you wait until she goes at that time. Sometimes our dog plays the "i don't have to go, mom" card and will stand by the door (usually because it's raining and he doesn't want to get wet) but I stand out there with him until he pees. it usually only takes him a few minutes to do so and he always goes.

I do go to bed right around 9. Usually the routine is potty, then upstairs so that I can get ready for bed, then lights out by 9:30 at the latest.

I think you're right and I just need to be stricter with her about going potty. Thank you!
