Where should I go? Sephora seems like the best option if I don't want to stick to one brand. Mainly I need something a little more than TM and help with my eye makeup. I want to look pulled together and professional. Gypsy - want a project??
I recommend Bobbi Brown or Laura Mercier- they will give you work professional looks. Sephora tends to be more on the wild side, IMO. BUT they are having their F&F sale soon, so it is a good time to go.
While I do own a TON of products from many different lines, I could use only Bobbi Brown and be happy with my look.
Too bad I don't live nearby, I'd love to give you a makeover I can recommend products though.
tinted moisturizer-- I use this in the summer-- Origin Vitazing
foundation- Bobbi Brown has good foundation for dry skin called EXTRA. I ran out of it last season but I may rebuy for the winter. Right now I am using Givenchy Photo Finish (From Sephora) and I love. Origins also has a great foundation I wore over the summer when I needed more coverage. its too dark on me now so I havent tried it, but I dont know if its winter friendly or not.
Blush- cant go wrong with Bobbi Brown, Tarte, or Nars
Mascara- my new favorite is Yves St. Laurent. I also love Guerlain 2 Guerlain.
Eyeliner-- I am obsessed with Eyeko (Sephora)- its a felt tipped pen and lasts all day. great stuff. Also, Bobbi Brown and MAC make great gel pots. And for an easy pencil, Urban Decay 24/7
Eyeshadow-- Benefit has a great kit called Big Beautiful eyes (or something like that) that I adore. It comes with concealer and three shadows and shows you where to apply. Its pretty foolproof. Other brands I love- urban decay, MAC, theBalm
