I looked at the comparison chart, but I don't think I actually use most of those features. I think the only feature I'd really miss is the color-coded calendar where it marks good days in green, AF in red.
It says "renew early and save" - do we know how much it really is if you don't?

I bit it and did it. I renewed for 90 days, so I'm good through like December or something. The website shows the price breakdown, and how much you save by renewing early. I cannot find it on the site right now, but I like seeing how many dpo I am, and the color coding is helpful too. Anything to ease my mind is helpful!

I think it's totally worth it. VIP tells me when I'm possibly fertile, most likely fertile, gives me crosshairs to let me know when I o'd, gives me "pregnancy points" to help convince me I'm KU during the 2ww, tells me my min/max/average for cycle length/LP/o date...

I don't have it, and on the app my calender still shows as red on AF days, light green on whatever days and dark green on fertile days with a darker border on predicted O date.
Haven't encountered anything I really miss yet, so not spending the money on it!
NL, I think you might instill be in the free trial period. When you sign up, you automatically get VIP for free for 30 days, then if you don't pay, it goes away after that.

Nope, not in the free trial anymore. I signed up back when I just started TC, then switched to another, nicer app, but it turned out their predictions were all wrong half the time, so after 5 or 6 months I went back to FF. Just re-checked. It does indeed show different colors for different types of days. (Just slightly different than I just said, but it still totally shows which day is what.) I don't get the overlay options anymore, I remember those, but they weren't all that useful anyways. Not missing anything I'd have to pay for (also, I think it's waaaayyyy too expensive. My cycle changes are too subtle for ovuview to work well every cycle, but that was 5 dollars for permanent VIP features.)
I had it for a year but it recently expired and I did not renew, and do not miss it. If you like them on Facebook they often have deals for $24 per year.
One thing about VIP is you get access to their message boards, and some of those women are seriously crazy about TTC. Like their charts will show about 40 different symptoms each day.
I had a 1 month trial, and I think the free version gets the job done just fine. As long as you are temping, it shows the yellow/green fertile days, O date, DPO, etc. I don't need encouragement to get any crazier about the other details.
