But-but- but, inquiring minds want to know. Of course, nothing will ever remove the sight/smell of a patient I had with maggots in the folds of her stomach.... I can't wait until you start nursing school!

It was a woman in the sub acute unit that had such bad bedsores that it was truly gag inducing. She had a splint for a fracture so she was on bed baths only and apparently that wasnt enough.

The CNA apologized when we started and the wound care specialist visibly gagged when the lvn started changing dressings. I didn't feel so bad for gagging after that. So gross.

That is pretty gross. I always feel bad for people who get bedsores, I can't imagine how painful that must be.

Sorry! After 4 years of nursing school and 8 years of practicing not much grosses me out anymore.
