Don't most babies nap more than this? Especially after they gave their moms their cold? She's been in her crib for 2 hours. Not 1 wink. Have pity on me.
I gave up after 2 hours. She wasn't "crying", just going between angrily yelling at me and playing. She would cry for a minute and I'm all "ok she's going to sleep". And then yelling. Then playing. OMG. She's nuts. Lol. She may have dozed off for 15 minutes. She'll be in bed by 7. Knock on wood.
Mine has been on a "I won't even THINK about napping unless I've been up at least 6 hours" kick this week, which means she's overtired constantly, which means she's a grouch, and she doesn't sleep well at night so has been waking up more during the night and earlier in the morning. Also, can somebody please explain why during this awake time, if I'm trying to hang out with her, all she wants to do is throw a fit, but as soon as I lay her in her crib she talks to herself, as happy as a clam, for an hour? WTF?
Naps are hard. Every now and then when I think I'll never get her to take one again she will practically crawl up to me and ask me to put her in her crib and she will just doze off and sleep 3 hours. But it's just to trick me into thinking I've got this. At least she's happy. She's all chillin in her high chair watching baby Einstein and poppin Cheerios.

How about we get Maisy and Amelia together, and Maisy can teach Amelia to nap now that she's finally got the hang of it, and Amelia can teach Maisy to sleep until 8?

Lol, well I guess we have that, because I've never been one to get up early. I can't believe I'm thinking of becoming a teacher!
Can I just send my kid over to learn all these lessons from all these other babies? I would very much enjoy both good naps AND sleeping till 8:00! I'll send her with snacks so she can at least bring something to the table.
