So, I'm about 6 weeks along and I think I have either a yeast infection or a UTI. I called the dr. and the nurse said they would likely want to see me, but said they woudl give me a call back.
It's too late to get an apt today I'm going on vacation early Friday morning, so the only time I can make it in would be tomorrow.
The problem is, since I am already going to be out 7 business days, it is going to look bad to sneak out super early (my dr. office is near my home and not my office so its easily a 1 hour commute there).
What makes it worse is that once I am only back 1 day, I immediately have my first scheduled ob/gyn appointment the following day (Halloween). I just want to work from home that day since it is such a pain to come in during the middle of the day, plus it is Halloween so I don't want to miss DS trick or treating (this is the first year he's really into it and understands so he's been talking about it a ton).
I'm going to look super irresponsible at work, but its not like I'm telling this early. Any suggestions? Do I just bear out looking bad and people will end up figuring it out a month from now.
ETA: so now I am going crazy because I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon with the Obgyn. I am leaving on vacation Friday morning with the entire extended family and I am petrified something is going to be wrong tomorrow afternoon and it will effect the vacation. DS is looking forward to it so much. I don't know if they will even try doing an ultrasound since I'm just going in for a UTI/yeast infection and I also think it might be to early to find a heartbeat, but I am so worried right now that something won't be right and on top of that misery we will also have to cancel our vacation.
My appts only worked out in that we just finished our busy season in september so I used the excuse of having all my appts in October.
Now if something comes up, like my NT scan yesterday, I usually blame it on a specialist, like "oh my derm's office had to move me around, hope that's ok" type of stuff.
I'm not planning to tell work for another 2 weeks.
