Cancun - Moon Palace

We are going to Cancun next month for a wedding, and staying at the Moon Palace.

Has anyone stayed there? Care to share any insider tips as far as restaurants at the hotel (which are better), how to use resort credits (if they are even worth using), etc.

We go every year to the Moon Palace with a huge group of friends and love it.

A few things off the top of my head are

Reserve spa services when you arrive or asap so times don't book up

My fav restaurant is the japanese steak house on the sunrise side

Beach bar is really cool and chill at night

I have not stayed at MP but have gone there for day activities when staying at Beach and Sun Palace. DH & I prefer the smaller Palaces but my sister and BIL go every year, sometimes twice a year and really like it there. The only place we ate there was at the buffet at the golf course clubhouse. I think the spa is located in this building too. Food was good and it was much quieter and less crowded than up at the main hotel.

On our last visit to Beach Palace we used resort credits for spa, limo, photography, beach dinner and golf at Moon Palace.
