Movers

Sooo.. My H and I live with my parents and don't have much furniture, well much of anything really. The movers came today. They got here at 8 a.m and it is almost 4 p.m and they are still here. All of our stuff was in my room which is by no means large. They got everything packed up in like three hours and they have just been taking their time putting it all in the truck. Is this normal? I'm kinda freaked out that they are just hanging around our house lol

It sounds a little unusual to me, but it sounds like you are their only pack/load for the day, so they aren't in a rush to get anywhere else.


We've always been multiple pack/load days, so a single day for both is something I've never dealt with...

Yea they left at at like 5:30 it was really odd. We had cloths and a bed and some kitchen things so it should have only taken a couple hours and they were here ALL day.. It was really strange, we thought that maybe they got payed by the hour lol

I just thought it was really strange. We told them we had MAYBE 700 pounds and we told them that was probably an exaggeration. Oh well, it got packed and it's heading to Guam

That's definitely weird. We had 5,860 pounds and it took from 9am to 2pm for three people to pack and load all of it. They only did about 85% as well as they could have done. Even had they done a perfect job it would only have taken another 30 minutes maybe.
