Do you have sharper vision with glasses or contacts?
Over the last several years I've had so much trouble keeping my contacts focused when using the computer, and when using my camera, I have trouble with manual focus because I just can't tell.
I think changing to glasses might help, but my glasses have a two year old RX, so they aren't really much help.
My vision is better with glasses. I have an astigmatism and the contacts for astigmatism are horrible. I got massive migraines. My eyes burned a lot when I wore them. oh I also have a lazy eye so it sucks. I prefer glasses.
My vision is much more clear with my glasses. My glasses are corrected for my astigmatism while my contacts are not. I tried contacts with the correction, but they would fall out when I blinked. I'm so used to my contacts that when I wear my glasses, they make me dizzy for about 30 minutes before I get used to them.
Even now, I have astigmatism in one eye, keratoconus in the other, with an implant also. And even thought I may never get 'perfect' vision from that one eye, I still do better with contacts than with my glasses.
Perhaps talking to your optician about some weighted lenses could help. How long has it been since you've been in for an exam?

I am SO glad I am not the only one with this issue with contacts for astigmatism.

I've noticed my vision is better with different contact brands. I'm currently using Acuvue, and they're not nearly as good as Biofinity. Stupid expensive contacts!

You don't even want to know what I have to pay for mine. It's fucking stupid.
Lemon, did you talk to your doc about this back in June?
Definitely better with contacts. I have slight astigmatisms that regular contacts manage to correct by themselves. I actually got new glasses and they make me nauseous, I think it's the fit but my old glasses are so scratched things are a little fuzzy.

Overall I see much sharper with contacts. When it comes to focusing on things close up however, it bothers my eyes when I have contacts in, but it also bothers my eyes when I have glasses on. If I'm wearing glasses and need to look at something closely, or read, I always take off my glasses anyway, so I'm not surprised it bugs my eyes when I have contacts on.

Yes I did. And the different contacts she gave me worked, but I wasn't doing any photography then.
