I could have written a lot of this post. Zoloft is my savior. I started it last year because I felt like I was always yelling And I feel so much more calm and in control now
I suggest seeing a counselor. Did your responsibilities at home changed? Or are you still doing everything you were doing before you started working again? Is your H helping out more at home? Do you get any me-time?
You don't have to be on meds forever to get one good results from anti-anxiety meds. Talkntoyour GP and see what might be a fit. Plus make an effort to do family fun and easy dinners/nights every week. Don't 'just do meds - nd don't discount how much they can help.

Are you actually taking advantage of the me-time? Work is not really what I would consider me-time, even if you enjoy it.
Did the short temper start when you went back to work part time? It may just be the adjustment period of trying to figure out how juggle everything. Try to let go of some things until you get acclimated to the new schedule. As for meds, maybe talk to your primary care physician and see if it sounds like anxiety. They will probably ask you about lifestyle stuff first though. Are you getting exercise, sleep, etc. some of the natural ways to bring down stress levels? Meds may help the transition but can't and shouldn't replace some of the other lifestyle things you can do to get your stress under control.
