I am looking for an accent color for my kitchen/dining room. It's painted Smokey Slate by Behr. Right now I have white and gray accents, but I want some color.
This is the color:
One room connecting to it is navy with orange accents. The other room is a gray-purple. I'm probably going to add a teal accent to the purple room. I am considering either of those main room colors as accent colors. Any suggestions?
That seems like a lot of color. So if your standing in one place, you'll be able to see purple, teal, orange, navy, white and green?
Not exactly, the rooms are not open concept. They actually go in a C shape. You mainly can see wall colors, not pillows or other accent colors. Besides, I'm not afraid of color at all. I consider each room in the house a separate canvas. I would be miserable if I had an entire floor painted the same color or almost the same color. It's just not how I choose to design.
Of the colors listed, orange leaps out as the best; however my first choice too would be a chili pepper red. The base color reads as grey on my monitor.

Its not gray. Its a green with gray undertones. But I do like the red option.

It looks gray for me also, which is why I would say orange and teal for accents, since that's what I did. If it's more greenish, then I like the idea of the burgundy.
