Hi! I'm from Savannah. There are so many things to do here. As far as shopping, walk down Broughton St. There are a ton of little shops on and just off Broughton. There are also a few great shops in City Market and on River Street. For breakfast, try Clary's and B Mathew's. For lunch, Soho South Cafe is my favorite. Sundae Cafe on Tybee Island is great. I also love Vinnie van Go-go's (cash only), One Eyed Lizzie's, Taco Abajo, and The Boar's Head. For dinner, Garibaldi's, jazz'd, SOL, Leoci's The Crab Shack, Sundae Cafe, North Beach Grill and Shell House are my favorites. A Haunted Pub Crawl is always fun for a girl's weekend. We have no open container law here. You can walk around with a drink in your hand as long as it is in a cup. The Haunted Pub Crawl is a walking tour that takes you to several haunted bars. You can stop in each place and get a discounted drink to drink while you walk to your next pub. We have also done a girl's night on the Slow Ride. It is a bicycle built for 12. It's great fun. You ride to music you choose and you stop at several bars along the route. There is a trolley tour you can take from the visitor's center. Make sure you get the one you can get on and off all day. It's usually $10/person for a 2 day pass. It's a great way to get around and learn about the city. You can get off at any stop and then catch another later. Captain Mike's Dolphin Tour leaves out of Lazzaretto Creek on Tybee Island. It is a great tour to take early in the mornings or in the evenings when the dolphins are more active. You see a good number of dolphins and see beautiful surroundings. While you are out at Tybee, go see the light house and Ft Pulaski. Savannah Smile's Piano Bar is a great place to have some fun. Also, check to see if there are any festivals running. October is usually our busiest time of year for great festivals.
I liked the Savannah Walks ghost tour and the tour of the Mercer-Williams House (from Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil - if you haven't read it you must before your visit!).
We had good lunches at Vic's on the River and Soho South Cafe. I loved just walking around - the architecture and wisteria are breathtaking!
we did one of the ghost tours too (it was onboard a hearse) it was cheesy but fun! I loved Savannah - we spent the weekend there after visiting Hilton Head (only about 45 minute drive).
When my mom, my sister and I went in March of 2012 we really enjoyed going on a Haunted Pub Crawl with Creepy Crawl Tours, the Bonaventure Cemetery Tour with Shannon Scott and dinner at the Crystal Beer Parlor.
