(I'm lookin' at you, CT! And anyone else who knows these things!)
OK, so I am clearly not a sweater dress-wearer (L.O.L.), but I got a sweater dress for Peanut to wear for our Christmas pics. It's off-white, and seems like a pretty tight knit (I got it from Old Navy, if that helps). As I know very little about dresses and absolutely nothing about sweater dresses, I am turning to you with my questions:
1) These are typically worn without anything underneath on top, right? 2) Would this look okay over brown leggings with brown riding-style boots? 3) Will Peanut look silly being the only one in the pics with bare arms (assuming it's warm enough for that)? 4) If it's not warm enough for bare arms, do we do a long-sleeve shirt under the sweater dress (and if so, what color?), or a jacket over the sweater dress? 5) And finally, is this collection of outfits too matchy-matchy?
we always do boots and leggings (or thick tights) with sweater dresses. I have layered a long sleeve underneath, but more for daycare and casual outings...i'm not sure I'd love that look for pictures. Does she have a jean jacket? I think that might look super cute esp if LM is wearing jeans. If not, I think she'd be fine as the only one w/ bare arms.
and i dont think that's too matchy-matchy at all. Mixing patterns is very in this year so i'm liking the argyle with the stripes!
ps- i thought this was going to be about adult sweater dresses. I recently made the terrible mistake of trying one on (yikes) so when I saw my name at the beginning of the post I was all, "omg, how does she know about that??" lol
