I feel like having plans to look forward to helps me feel less depressed and sad, such as vacations, concerts, renovations, big purchases, etc...
So, today I booked a 4 day trip in December to NYC to visit a good friend. I also have a 3 day yoga retreat in November that I'm really looking forward to. Without these two events I might be close to falling off the deep end, lol.
This Friday I'm heading out of town for my friends wedding. I'm kid-free and spending a ton of time with some of my favorite people. Not to mention the boy will be there!
I'm heading to Mexico with a fun group at the end of the year.
In the sort of near future, I totally plan to crash Bully's house.

I'm going to Vegas for the NFR....but I'm going with my mom so I'm not thrilled about it. I know we'll have fun, I just wish more people were going.
A bunch of cute guys walking around in wranglers and chaps? I'm sure you'll have some fun
Haha, oh yes, I'll manage to enjoy myself I'm sure! It's just a little awkward though with my mom...uh, hey, mom, could you wait outside the hotel room for an hour or so while I handle some business with this cowboy? Thanks.

Dammit, I want your life!
Yeah, this is what happens when your kids dont need you anymore, and you have been working for 23 years! You get old you have more $$ and freedom.
BUT you also have more wrinkles and aches and pains...lol

Halloween, I find out the pathology results from my surgery (as in do I have cancer or something else).
I have two business trips after that and then I'm spending a few days with my aunt, uncle, and cousins. I just found out my cousin is expecting. I'm super excited for her. They have been trying to a while and I know they will be great parents. I couldn't be happier for them.

Spring Break trip to Washington DC ( visiting monuments and seeing the sights)
Summer Study Abroad in Prague, with field study in Budapest, Bratislava and Vienna and a personal jaunt through Krakow, Paris, parts of Belgium and best of all: Amsterdam!
Nothing concrete as far as vacations, but my family usually does something, and J's family is going to Tennessee. We'll see how things go, but I may end up going.
this weekend is my friend's birthday. A bunch of us are getting together to celebrate that. It's always a fun time with this group of friends.
And I'm going to KS for Thanksgiving. I haven't seen my dad since the first of June. I'm excited to see him (and my mom, but she came down in July and we talk more often than him and I do).
I'm glad this was posted, because I am going to NYC - solo, just for fun - in early November. Things have been crazy at work and elsewhere, so I hadn't really taken the time to get excited about it! This was a good reminder.
And mid-November is my birthday - I always look forward to that.

I am going to the beach the first weekend of November with BF. The Holidays should be fun this year as Granddaughter will be almost 2. Not much else planned yet. Daughter and I are talking about Hawaii in the spring.
I totally agree. Plans in the future definitely help me feel excited about life even if I am down and out. I think the reason I have been in a blah mood lately is because I have no such plans to look forward to.
My birthday is in a month but it's on Thanksgiving so no one will really be around. I don't think I will celebrate it. I feel like lately I have to plan things months and months in advance just to get on friends' schedules and it just pisses me off so I have ceased planning anything.
The holidays are always fun but again, I have nothing planned for any of them.
I have no vacations except for in early Nov. when I am taking days off to attend my bro's wedding and work on my class final. I am spending more than 1,000 dollars to attend the wedding so yeah no money to do any other trips or vacations. I am not even staying extra days to vacay where he is getting married. Too expensive.
All my time is spent working or homeworking haha so life is just not very exciting now
