Like everyone said about Grey's but my favorites are the season finale where Mer goes back and does the candles in the shape of the house-- aww! www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ye6TcG55KG8
I love the scene when Derek comes back to hospital and is in the elevator with all his saves and they get engaged. www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLl9CefDNgE
In Friends when Chandler admits after the bra scene with Phoebe, that he loves Monica and Monica comes out of the bathroom.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hGgu3Nq3tw0
On House when he was messing with Wilson and Wilson gets him back and does something to his cane. House was walking down the hallway and just plummets to ground and has this dumbfounded look. It is honestly one of the funniest scenes I have ever scene. www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzgTjAhmcig

ER: the episode where Mark Green dies, and the fade out of Hawaii with 'Somewhere over the Rainbow' playing in the background. Had me crying for days.
Alias: When Vaughn shows Sydney his dad's watch and says it stopped the day they met
Friends: Joey and Monica with the turkey head and Chandler saying 'I love you' to Monica. And everyone finding out
Grey's: When Christina gets left at the altar and Mer has to cut her out of her wedding dress. Alex and Izzy's wedding.
West Wing: So hard to pick. Probably my favorite TV show of all time. Josh's eyes popping out of his head when Donna gets dressed up for her dates, the night Josh and Donna finally get together, when Danny gave CJ the goldfish not realizing she meant crackers:

Ditto Charlie's death on Lost and Josh and Donna getting together on The West Wing.
Friends - when Joey finds out about Chandler and Monica, they drag him in Monica's room so he doesn't tell anyone, and Phoebe tells Rachel "they're trying to take Joey!"
The Wire -- Omar testifying against Bird in the courtroom West Wing - Flashbacks when Josh and Sam decided to join the Bartlett campaign House - House and Sela Ward in the hospital and he is about to get his leg operated on SATC - When Big returns in the Series finale and he and Carrie on the street and she says "you and I - nothing! It's six years of never being different. etc." Greys - After the hospital shooting with Bailey comforting Charles as he is dying. I cry every time. BH 90210 - Kelly chooses Brandon and pulls out the ring he bought for her before
To all the Friends lovers out there, I have to wonder what I'm missing here. I liked it when I watched it, but since it's been off the air, whenever I see repeats, I just cringe. For me it'll never stand the test of time like some of these other shows will.
See, I feel the opposite. I still love Friends and other than the fashion, I feel like it's really held up and it will still make me laugh. My H and I watch re-runs of it pretty much daily because it's on so often, and we can always recite our favorite bits and know exactly where we are in the story. Although they do lose me a little with episodes from the last few years, which were kind of meh anyway.
There are some shows that I *loved* when I was younger, for example the [X-Files], that I can't watch now because they just haven't held up. But I don't see Friends ever becoming one of those shows.
I always liked Friends and enjoy watching the reruns, but never felt moved by any particular scene so much that it stuck with me.
Oh so right with Stone's Death on General Hospital.
And speaking of General Hospital: the scene where Sonny discovers the wire on Brenda, and she drops to the floor trying to grab at him when he walks out, begging him not to leave her.
Also, I'm surprised there aren't more SATC scenes listed in this thread. There are so many that are in my top favorite scenes, here are a few:
1. I love the entire episode from Season Six where Miranda and Steve get married. It starts where Miranda and Steve are sitting outside drinking beer and list all the things they don't want to become and Miranda proposes to Steve. And then later in the episode after they are married, all the guests are at a restaurant eating and Charlotte, Carrie and Samantha are talking about Samantha's breast cancer. Miranda wants to know what they are talking about and they tell her they can talk about it later, she should go back to her people and Miranda says "You are my people."
2. The last episode of Season Six when Carrie surprises the girls at the coffee shop after she returns from Paris and Miranda screams when she sees her. The episode ends and Carries says this "'Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that's just fabulous..."
1. Friends - The One with the Prom Tape episode - this might be one of my favorite scenes on television of all time:
2. How I Met Your Mother - I tried to find this video on youtube, but couldn't. The Three Days of Snow episode where Marshall and Lily are trying to "mature" their relationship and let go of their habit of meeting each other at the airport. But then, Lily is sitting at the airport with a keg of beer (also part of their tradition) and a marching band starts playing Auld Lang Syne and in walks Marshall to say how much he loves her and their traditions. I cry every time and my crush on Jason Segal grew exponentially with that episode.
I can't think of an original third so I will include the "Pivot" scene from Friends:
Mad about You when they get the positive pregnancy test...sobbing, sobbing
quote] Yes! I loved that show. And that scene makes me cry too.
I also liked the episode where they go to look at the apartment one last time and Jamie keeps saying she thinks the floor slants and then it ends up with her, Paul, and the landlord trying to slide down the floor.
Friday Night Lights: When Matt Saracen arrives at the Taylor house to pick up Julie for their first date, and Coach aggressively demands, "Is that a members' only jacket?"
Buffy: I have about one favorite scene per episode, but I love Hush in season 4 when everyone is mute, and the Scoobies are all meeting to figure out how to stop the Gentlemen, and Buffy mimes "Can I kill them with a stake?"
Veronica Mars: Weapons of Class Destruction, when Logan accidentally beats up an ATF agent and Veronica thanks him. And (in a different ep) when Deputy Lamb has to read "Veronica Mars is smarter than me."
Community: All of Remedial Chaos Theory
Arrested Development: Almost everything.
Sherlock: Maybe the drugs bust scene from season 1?

1. The scene from Sex and the City where Carrie is yelling at Berger's friend about getting broken up with on a post-it note. It cracks me up every time.
2. Pretty much any scene in Gilmore Girls that involves Sookie being klutzy. She does physical comedy so well. Also, the episode where Rory goes off to Yale, and she keeps begging her mom to come back. I so did that when I went to college. And when Lorelai realizes in the last episode that Luke organized that whole goodbye party for Rory. Made up for all the shitty writing previously that season.
3. Last scene of Six Feet Under.
4. The scene in Friends where everyone realizes Rachel's pregnant with Ross's baby. Still gives me chills. I am a dork.
5. Two scenes in Scrubs stand out too. The first is the episode where Dr. Cox does the transplants and "How to save a life" is playing in the background while they lose the patients. It makes me cry. And the second is when we realize that Ben has died in season 3 and Dr. Cox is at the funeral and they're playing "Winter" by Josh Radin. John C. McGinley plays both of those scenes so well it's chilling.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
The Office: Dwight falling through his desk after Jim re-created it out of wrapping paper
The Simpsons: Homer asks Hank Scorpio for some sugar for his coffee, and Hank rummages around in his pockets and gives him a handful of loose sugar. "There you go. Sorry it's not in packages. Want some cream?"

1. The last episode of Gilmore Girls, when Rory is about to leave and Lorelei is telling her that they didn't have enough time and she has so much more to buy her for her trip and Rory says "You've given me everything I need." OMG. I'm getting emotional just typing it. That is my favorite moment of the entire show.
2. The end of Lost. The last scene when they are all together in the church. I never missed an episode of that show. I loved every thing about it (well, almost everything) and seeing them all together and happy...well, I don't think I've ever cried that hard at a tv show.
3. Ross: "Pivot! Pivot! Pivot!" Chandler: "Shut up shut up shut uppppp"

Also, there are so many Pam and Jim moments that I love but the one that makes me the happiest is when he comes back from his interview in NY and Pam is talking to the camera, saying it isn't meant to be and Jim walks in and asks her out to dinner. She turns back to the camera and has a huge smile on her face.
I think my favorite scenes are the ones that make me cry!

I forgot about that scene - great one! I would've been extremely happy had they ended the series with that.
I thought their wedding episode sucked, on the other hand. Although Jim chopping off part of his tie was sweet.
1- when the boy (pre-teen) died of cancer on ER and Gene was his nurse. The Green Day "Time iof your life "song was a song they shared and she played it at the funeral 2- The pre and post monologue that went with the episode from Grey's when Meredith and Derek get post-it married and Izzie and Karev get married.
"You never know the biggest day of your life is going to be the biggest The days you think are going to be big ones are never as big as you make them out to be in your head It’s the regular days, the one that start out normal, those are the days that turn out to be the biggest.
You don’t recognize the biggest day of your life until you’re right in the middle of it The day you commit your life to something or someone… The day you meet your soul mate The day you realize that there’s not enough time because you want to live forever Those are the biggest days The perfect days" I can't think of a 3rd but you all have hit on some of my Friends faces
West Wing - CJ's secret service agent beau is gunned down and President Bartlett converses with the Dubya-esque Republican candidate for President during a broadway show... and he leaves the room telling his opponent, "In case you were wondering, in the future, 'Crime, boy, I don't know' was when I decided to kick your ass."
I loved the West Wing episode that showed how they all ended up working for Bartlett for America.
I loved Josh and the President being shot, and I loved Leo's heart attack and the President asking CJ to jump off a cliff for him.
God, that was SUCH an awesome show.
I love that show so, so much. The episode where Mark Harmon gets shot still makes me cry buckets of tears. Buckets! But even in the midst of sobbing, I still yell out "yes!!" at Bartlett's line to Brolin.
And the finale, when Mallory gives him Leo's napkin with "Bartlett for America" written on it. *SOB*
For variety's sake, I'll use Sports Night for a third favorite moment, when Casey figures out that Gordon slept with Sally. Gordon: What's on your mind, Casey? Casey: You're wearing my shirt, Gordon. BUUUUURRRNNN
Honorable mention goes to the EMPTY BOX OF VINDICTIVENESS from the Revenge finale. Love!

Futurama - In the episode "Luck of the Fryrish" when Fry finds out that the famous Phillip J. Fry is is nephew, not his brother. I know its a cartoon, but I cry every time.
and I pretty much love the entire episode of "Unfinished Business" from Battlestar Galactica (nerd alert!)
1. My So-Called Life. The episode where Angela is making out with Jordan in the boiler room but he refuses to admit they are a couple or that he even knows her around his friends, and then she shows up at the Buffalo Tom show. At the end, when he grabs her hand in the hallway and Buffalo Tom is playing...I still get excited when I watch it! I have also always loved that song because of that scene.
2. Rita in the bathtub on Dexter. Hands down. Harrison's crying/the visual still haunts me.
3. Beverly Hills 90210, the sleepover episode where Kelly talks about getting raped. Again, it has just always stuck with me.
If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them. - Bruce Lee
This thread actually inspired me to register for these boards!
1. Friends Episode already mentioned (I'm guessing) The one where no one is ready. Joey--"Could I BE wearing anymore clothes?" That scene just does it for me, though the rest of the episode makes me a little uncomfortable--"you were going to drink the fat!" makes me gag a little bit (Barely edges out the trivia one where the guys win the girls apt.)
2. There are several Boston Legal episodes that will always stick with me, but the one where Denny and Alan are salmon fishing in Canada and appear in front of the Canadian version of their Supreme Court. Alan does his closing argument.... and to finish the argument, Denny adds "Denny Crane, Eh."
3. Since I can't decide between numerous West Wing, Scrubs (I thought the final 5 minutes of the final show was perfection), or Arrested Development, Cosby Show, or Wonder Year scenes, I'll go for a moment that most of you probably haven't seen--the final time trial of the 2003 Tour de France when Lance Armstrong beat rival Jan Ulrich in the final time trial of the race. That barely beats out the "cyclocross" incident, "the Stare", or the Alpe d'Huez time trial (though technically I didn't watch the time trial on TV since I was there).
I rarely classify moments that make me sad as "favorite" scenes, though my Scrubs reference was surely bittersweet.
