Good News!

So, DH has been having some health problems lately. Skin cancer scare, plus some tingling in his arms and legs. His sister has MS, so that was a concern of ours.

He had a skin biopsy of the spot the doctor thought was skin cancer...benign! So that was happy!

He also had an EMG and an MRI ran on his nerves...both came back normal! No signs of MS either...which was a HUGE relief!

So basically...DH is frighteningly normal. He's just a typical engineer with bad posture and too much time spent sitting at his desk. The doctor thinks that all the back issues and tingling can be fixed with physiotherapy and exercise.

So...happy news!! Do any of you have any happy news to share??

My good news is that so far this new job of DH's has been really great family-time-wise. In Madrid he was leaving around 8:30-9 every night and he rarely got home before DD was asleep (bedtime is 9). Here he leaves around 6:30 and is always home for DD's bathtime. It's been really nice! It also helps that we live ridiculously close to his work. I'm very happy about it.

Yay for your DH! He may have some form of carpal tunnel. I had it very severely about a year & a half ago. It started with tingling in my arms so severe I couldn't sleep and one day I woke up and couldn't move one of my hands at all. Taking time away from computer and reforming my approach to work helped (getting an external split keyboard for my laptop, installing voice-activated software on my computer & some other major changes) as well as months of accupuncture and rolfing (deep tissue work, especially around my back, chest and shoulders).

My good news is not so huge. I went for a run this morning with DH to take advantage of my parents' second-to-last day here. There's no other way for us to exercise together that early in the morning because of DD.

What a relief! MS is my biggest fear in life, followed by melanoma.

My good news is that I got a job! An AMAZING job at that. I've known for a while but didn't want to broadcast it until the HR business got settled. It's a 1-year maternity leave cover and it's the perfect, perfect, perfect job for me. Yaaay!

My good news is that we have awesome weather! Woot woot! Oh, and that we've started TTC (finally). Not sharing that news with anyone of my offline friends and family though...

Yay for normalness! (And congrats to everyone else.) DH sits at the PC for work and is stressed and has been to dr several times, I wish he'd believe when they say he's normal lol basically said to get up more.

Don't guess I have good news...I am about to meet with a woman about some mommy and me groups though, hope that turns out good.
