I am not leaving the house at all today. My parents have been tasked with picking up DD at school and living outside for me while I hunker down and wait for the darned Fedex people, who have already missed me twice and refused to leave the package with our building's concierge last week.
Oh, mother-in-law, it sucks that you had to cancel your trip to see DD for her birthday (family illness), but it sucks even more that you didn't consult me before putting my home address on the Fedex package instead of sending it to DH's office.

Have fun? Lol it is frustrating to have to wait for packages...I know. Usually I jave no wherr to go anyway though. Maybe you wont be kept waiting long.
In my experience, if you actually call the fedex office, they can change the delivery address for you. I know they did that for me once (that was me sending though, not receiving.
Good luck with the wait though. Maybe/hopefully they come early?!

I will try that if today's attempt fails. I figured telling them last week that they could leave it with the concierge would solve any issues, but sadly, it didn't.

That sucks. :-( Our post delivery people are really good about leaving things with neighbors, and our neighbors in the apartment building are trustworthy enough that I have no problem with that. Actually, I'm usually the one accepting packages for them since I'm home with DD a lot.
I hope your package gets there soon to end your house arrest!

I hate it when I have to wait for packages. I have an account now so that my packages are delivered to a delivery box near my place. Then I neither have to wait for them nor worry that they'll be delivered while W is sleeping. Those don't work with FedEx, though.
4:30pm- No package, no record of my call to reschedule the package in their system at all. GRRRRRR.
I am surprisingly good at getting across that I am an irate customer in another language. It should now be delivered to DH's office tomorrow. I am going out now.
