I'm officially alone. Julie left at 5a to head back home for a long weekend. She took our oldest dog with her. I've never stayed alone in this house, a d she doing a guest performance with her old drag troupe. It's the first show I've missed EVER! I keep crying, I'm pathetic I know. I wish some of you lived in Denver.
You aren't pathetic. Remember how you said if we could trade places you would be me for a day? Okay, let me help you out and tell you what I would do.
Step 1 - remember that this is just for a long weekend. And then get sad that it's only for a long weekend - I kid, I kid. :-p Step 2 - order or go buy your favorite food. The food that Julie doesn't necessarily like. Or just the food that you don't get often enough. Step 3 - DVR your favorite tv shows. Even if they are re-runs. Or go to the redbox and pick out the movies you've always wanted to see (and perhaps Julie hasn't).
Now that you have the supplies and are at home remember these things: - leave the dirty dishes in the sink a few hours longer than normal. - sleep on whichever side of the bed you want - turn the heater up or down as you desire - walk the dogs. Or don't. - do chores on your timeline. Don't want to vacuum? Don't. Want to do all your chores tonight so you have the rest of the weekend free? Do that.
Other random things: - Take yourself to breakfast. Grab the Sunday (or whatever day) paper, go to a local breakfast hot spot, get a coffee booth and enjoy. Read, drink coffee, and have someone else make breakfast for you. - Drive her car. Do you have two cars? Did she take one with her? Oh well, that's probably out. But always drive the other car whenever possible. -
