"Think if a hurricane and nor'easter mated, possibly spawning a very rare and powerful hybrid storm, slamming into the Boston-Washington corridor early next week, with rain, inland snow, damaging winds and potential storm surge flooding."

I am outside of DC and I survived the summer storm with power but the neighborhood I just moved to lost it for 4 days during that. I am scared I might not have tv or a hairdryer or hot water.
I really might go buy a huge flashlight or two tonight. Last year, with Hurricane Irene, I waited until a couple days before the storm and the only thing I could find was a Disney Princess flashlight in the toy section.
We had a tree fall almost into our living room with Irene. It was literally tapping the glass with the springy branches. Then we had no power for 5 days. All I know is I'm sure as hell making sure I'm do laundry before this one. We had come back early from vacation for Irene and didn't have time.
The condo complex chopped down a bunch of trees after the storm and we have multiple lanterns now including a solar powered one. I had to do one day shipping on Amazon. We just ate out for 5 days out of laziness and showered at the gym. I was 12 hours from booking a hotel when the lights came on.
Glad I haven't bought Halloween candy yet. Last year it was like a skating rink outside (we got shittons of sleet/freezing rain) & literally nobody came T or T'ing on my street.

Seriously October in New England is getting out of control. Last year I had to shovel snow for trick or treaters now the kids are going to be blowing around in 60 mile per hour winds and rain?!
