i just called my eye doctor and no answer.. so i googled and it turns out the store is closed. i need to get my eyes checked.. anyone have a recommendation in the kent/renton area? they always have to dilate my eyes when i go to get a proper reading so i'd like it to be sorta close to home.
Oh and they do something else besides dilating your eyes. It's not covered by insurance but it's only $35. They have a machine that takes this picture inside your eye. No need for the drops and wonky eyes afterwards.
ETA It's called Optomap.
During a laser retina scan, such as Optomap, your eyes may or may not be dilated. A laser scans your eyes and then produces digital images of your retinas. Your eye doctor can use the images to check for abnormalities. The images can be saved in your medical record and used to compare the condition of your retinas from year to year
my only concern is that they'll get my prescription wrong.. i've been going to the same lady for like 6 years.. and the person before that like 6 years, and the person before that like 3.. so i'm just concerned. i made an appt at both the place uw recommended and costco.. i think the appt with costco fits better so i'll probably cancel the other one.. i have to work a few hours afterwards and am concerned my eyes will be super sensitive.

I've gone to Dr. Lawson for 2 years now and before that I went to the same guy since I was a kid, but he's since retired.
Without any of my medical history or background she nailed all of the problems with my eyes within 10 minutes of looking at them.
Also, she was super awesome and pro active with getting me off of hard contacts and into soft lenses. No joke, my eyes have never felt better.
I super pink puffy heart her. And she always has cute glasses on too.
