I was pretty much exclusively co-washing with Suave Naturals coconut for quite a while. It worked really well with my hair, it got stronger, longer and looked great.
Now all of a sudden it looks awful. Like the conditioner isn't rinsing out properly and the ends look chunky and greasy by the end of the day.
I think it's my new house and the water here - we have a water softener combating super hard water.
Can anyone recommend cleaning/conditioning products? What works best for you? I have long-ish hair, fairly straight, but it picks up a lots of wave in any kind of humidity. Fairly fine, but lots of it, so anything too heavy really weighs it down. Not chemically treated, I stopped coloring about a year ago. Not overly dry or damaged, not overly oily.
Suggestions?
Oh, I also try to avoid parabens and -ates if I can.
I use the suave keratin smoothing shampoo and really like it. My hair has a tendency to be pretty frizzy, and this definitely keeps it smooth and it isn't heavy at all.
I just started using Burt's Bees Very Volumizing Shampoo and really like it so far. It has definitely made my hair shinier without weighing it down. It is sulfate- and paraben-free.

Still trying to find a conditioner to love...
Ooh, I forget about Burt's Bees. I liked a sample of that same shampoo I got a while ago.
With that, do you find you need to wash every day, or less often?

I have never found anything that makes me not want to wash every day Bad things happen to my hair when I sleep.

Me too. It's like a tiny Bon Jovi climbs onto my pillow each night and tries to recreate his 80s heyday hairdo. I probably need to give up on trying to wash less often.
But my hair 'routine' is to wash/condition, put some gel or B&b surf spray in it, then go to bed with it wet. Then I wake up and brush it the next day. So YMMV.

Mine is to wash, comb and let the vents in my car dry it while I commute to work. So yeah.
Thanks for the list - I feel like we might have similar hair types, so I'll look for some of these. I tried Carol's Daughter, but haven't used Lush in a while.
