Another Game 7 for my Rangers tomorrow night, another Game 7 I can't watch live because of a prior commitment. Although, we are going to a Bar Mitzvah and the host is neighbor of ours at Ranger games and therefore as big a fan as we are, so it would not shock me if he sets up a TV somewhere in the reception hall. But if not, we'll get score updates and we are currently 1-0 in these playoffs in Game 7s we can't watch live. ;D
Also, this is turning into the most expensive year for us, like, ever. Since late March we have had a special event to attend every single weekend and this will go on until mid-June at least. Then there's a hiatus and we've got a few more in July and August. Among the events: 2 weddings (for 2 of DH's brothers, so no, we can't scrimp on gifts and other expenses for those), christenings (one OOT but we're close friends and don't get to see them too often), wedding showers, baby showers, graduation parties, etc. STOP HAVING WONDERFUL THINGS HAPPEN IN YOUR LIFE, FAMILY AND FRIENDS!!!!

I have basically nothing going on this weekend, aside from Sunday where I get to pick babycakes up early from his dad to celebrate Mother's Day. I don't know whether to feel relieved or pathetic. Also my tonsils are still enormously swollen and I feel like I'm gagging on them every time I swallow.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
One of my SILs called to ask for $. The $ is to cover her flight out here for K's graduation. I would be okay with it except SHE WON'T ACTUALLY BE HERE FOR GRADUATION! She's leaving at 6am that day because there is a wedding she wants to attend that she has deemed more important.
Also, in case anyone was wondering I bough K's mother's day gift today. I bought per passes for a Zip Line place. She loves that sort of stuff and it was a LivingSocial deal.
I had two cavities filled and since then one tooth has been hurting. I'm putting off going to the dentist because I'm terrified that I'll need to get another crown. I'm not scared of the root canal, but my one and only other crown hurt like a bitch when it was put on.
I'm so annoyed that i've missed the past two days at work because I had my leave so carefully counted for maternity leave. Now I may have to go a week unpaid. I know, i'm lucky I was able to save that much leave, but still, WAH. I'm annoyed. Why have I been stockpiling leave since I started to throw it out the window the week before I have this baby?!?
Another friend of mine who is due after me is in labor. Of course she is. I'm such a whiny brat about this. Sigh.
I have to go out and get lunch today and I dont know where I want to go. I'm sick of going to Wawa but it is the most convenient.
Someone on my FB just posted that they are in their smallest pre-pregnancy pants (and that is probably like a negative, she is tiny) and posted her race schedule for the summer for running. This makes me all sorts of stabby bc I fee like she is AWing and I'm not in the mood for it in my blimp-like state.
We are going to a wedding this weekend that we don't want to go to. It's sounding more and more like it will be the 7th circle of hell. The groom's family looks like trash-rashtic redneck awesomeness. The groom's mother has all sorts of racist Obama stuff on her Facebook.
I'm kind of hoping for a sudden case of salmonella in the next couple hours so I can stay home.
I just got out of the bathtub about 10 minutes ago and now I have to take a shit. This depresses me and makes my bath feel like it was a waste of time.
Ugh, I hear you on expensive year. MH's brother got married last month and everything leading up to it was SO expensive. Bachelor party, engagement party, etc...both of the kids being in the wedding and buying stuff for that. Same with my husband - he had to buy a new suit. It seemed never ending.
I have no randoms - other than I could probably open up a goodwill store in my house. I had no idea we had so much fucking crap. OMG. It's going to be multiple truckloads to get it to the various places we are donating.
I am dreading this weekend. Dyl is going out to AZ to visit family, so I am going to be alone. And on top of that I am busy allllllllllllllllll weekend, and I am dying for some downtime right now. This week was pretty shitty in general. Bleh.
On a more positive note, I am seeing Billy Elliot in LA tomorrow. So while I am irritated at being busy, I am also excited to see the play. I am one big contridiction lol

Prom is the weekend. I already had a mini break down and feel a much larger one coming on. I am so behind at work my boss offered to hire me an assistant but I am too embarrassed by how I haven't been able to keep up, ok..not embarrassed, ashamed. I play too much on the internet.

I stumbled upon a pattern for knit hot pants that I absolutely do not have the body to sport, but I MUST knit. I'm also going to order up enough yarn to knit a lace cover up that I may never wear but I MUST knit.

My very very favorite craft beer bar is almost across the street from the theater. You know, if you drink beer and want to stop there before or after Billy Elliot. :-P
I'm going to a beer fest tomorrow and then a "reunion" for a company I used to work for. I'm feeling conflicted about the latter. I'm still really good friends with a few people I worked with there (2 were in my wedding party, and one of them introduced me and my husband) but... if I wanted to keep in touch with you, I would have, right?
Marie, unfortunately, I think after NY wins this game (yup, they will!) it will go to 7 games with New Jersey. Which should be a great series, honestly. If and when they beat the Devils, they'll beat LA for the cup. Just my predictions.
Hockey is STILL going on?!? It's May! It's warm out! I'm in such a bubble when it comes to some sports. (and this is why I love the NFL. 17 weeks, 4 weeks of post-season, and bam, that's it.) Until you turn on the NFL network.

Yeah, I don't like beer.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That was funny. I love beer. Name please?? Me and my Mama will have to go check it out

And that's why I love hockey! 8 months a year!
Though, to be fair, having playoffs go until June does start to affect the ice surface at times, especially with the humidity of the east coast and/or if it's a team in a warm climate that makes it to the finals. Even with the artificial refrigeration, the air can make it melty or foggy.

OMG that is EXACTLY what I am predicting!!!! Rangers in 5 against LA.
Which means the Rangers will lose tomorrow, lol.
Mrsbecky, hockey should go on FOREVER AND EVER. But I will say, the NFL playoffs gives me less heart attacks because it's just one and done each week. This could potentially give me two whole months of heart attacks several times a week.

My sister nearly fell for a puppy scam on the internet. She'd emailed me pictures of the puppy and red flags went up everywhere. I flashed back a bunch of questions then did some research. Yeah. So I emailed her telling her, saying "Sorry T. Total scam." She hasn't replied since then. Hmph.
H wants to play soccer on Sunday. Well, that's being ungenerous. He has the opportunity to play soccer on Sunday but is willing to forgo it if I want him to. It's mother's day, dammit. You'd better be planning awesomeness that doesn't involve soccer but does involve breakfast in bed, cards, presents, and champagne, possibly or possibly not mixed with orange juice.

Blue Palms brew house. It's at the corner of Gower. They have 25 taps, including a cask. All rotating, all very interesting. (Well, they usually have "blue palms hef" and "blue palms IPA" on tap, but even so, those are made by Firestone Walker.) My favorite bartender is Eli, so hopefully he's there, but the others are nice too.
I was there on Wednesday and we walked past Billy Elliot on the way to dinner. My H said, "I have no desire to see that." Which is ironic, since 1) his mother loves it and even got tickets to see it in NY for Christmas once (she lives in Boston), and 2) my husband's name is Oliver, after the movie/musical/book. My MIL is obsessed with musicals about British boys, apparently.

Every year, I wish for the Cup for my birthday (in June.)
Considering I'm a Flyers' fan, I'm not sure why I set myself up for disappointment like this year after year. But I do. Fucking Devils.
