In a couple weeks, we have a baptism/christening to attend for my H's only niece. He is also her godfather. I'm trying to brainstorm ideas for a gift for her (she's 7 months now), but both of us have no idea what to get for the occasion.

For C's dedication/baptism, she got the following: Children's Bible (the kind with simplified stories and pictures), birth stone necklace, jewelry/keepsake box, lots of cash for her savings account.

Little white children's bible. A charm bracelet ( I know she is a baby but all it takes for it to grow with her is replacing the actual bracelet over time and just moving the charms over). Savings bond. ( I am all over these, E used all of his to pay for our honeymoon!)
I think I'll do the savings bond thing. It's investing in her financial future, and sadly we've never met her to be able to pick out something more personal.

We don't see C's godparents (our siblings) often either. It's the thought that counts. Savings bonds are an excellent idea b/c babies don't care about "stuff."
