I imagine that they will get new newlyweds moving over to TN an TB, but I think the majority of us are happy with this new board format, our ability to change things ourselves, actually search for something, and fucking curse.
One more conspiracy theory. I think Ellie actually works for proboards, and was sent to the sinking ship of the nest to pick the survivors out of the water and lead us to our new home.

I've been on TN since it started and I doubt it will do anything. There have lots of mass exodus/new board spin-offs in the past 6+ years and never really did anything major to TN.
I think there is always a 3-4 month lull after an exodus, but it always seems to regenerate itself.
I have also been on the Knot/Nest since 2005 (holy crap) and there has never been a mass exodus quite like this- where literally ALL the boards left for the same place.
I don't think they care. They'll get new users. It may impact them for a minute. I can't help but agree that perhaps they saw this as a way to shake out the old and reboot. Someone on ML commented that actually the best way to stick it to the man would be to go back to the Nest boards and be as offensive as possible. Clearly a few have taken that to heart!
I plan on staying. I put the link to these boards in my sig, and Kore & Swizzle are spamming MM. These forums are public, right? I think we will still get newbies. I posted to Parenting, so they will know how to find us if any of them are lurkers.
I've been on that site for over 10 years now. I'm excited to finally "move on" (even if it's just a different URL). The nest has had its claws in me for far too long :-p
There hasn't been a mass exodus like this since the Boston boards spun off a board just to discuss how evil I was... dumb asses didn't realize I could read everything they were writing about me :-)
DH is in technology and when I tell him about fuck ups like the nest's rollout of new boards it makes him feel better about the minorish problems he has.
If nothing else, I hope they get a clue about how to roll out an update. As a developer, the way they have handled this is just shameful. All the mismanagement also makes me think it may have been on purpose. Just think about all the bandwidth and database storage they're going to save!
I don't think they really care about the boards. They think their site has great articles and whatever. Look at The Blush. They think they're Cosmo or something. Screw em!

I think that happened to me on the LA Boards! Tough being us....

Dude, you and me both. My join date was 2001. I had just graduated high school and was, apparently, wedding obsessed. I guess. I don't think I was active until much later though.

I checked out that site last week and it is horrible. I'll take my favorite fashion bloggers over them any day.
One of my boards broke off to here a couple months back. I like it better as you can do more things and its way easier. Also, if the group wants a change or has a suggestion the admins can easily make it.
I think its funny how quickly this board has grown....over 1800 members. Wow.
I think they'll get enough traffic from people coming over from the Knot, or new people just stumbling upon the site by accident (I started chatting on the Knot because I was reading a wedding-related article on MSN.com).
I don't think they'll really care if we all never go back, mainly because I can't imagine any of the more seasoned users are patronizing their sponsors, subscribing to their magazines or buying shit from their online store.
