that I'm bleeding to death! lol... I'd been on BC for so long I forgot how awful AF was.... Every month I forget.. then AF comes and I end up changing my SUPER PLUS tampon every hour!
Anyone else miss the days of BC periods... when AF came and went and it was nothing??
I actually had the opposite happen. I expected to go back to heavy periods and cramps but when I went off BC I had lighter, shorter and hardly any pain periods. I did get a ton more spotting though. Either way hope things even out for you and fx crossed you get a BFP soon and get a break from super tampons.
I had very light periods after BC, but since I started clomid, and ovulating on it, my periods have gotten to the super plus tampon category. It sucks, but I take it as a good sign that things are working in there.
I've only had one non-pill period so far, and it was very light and only 2 days. My first reaction was, "This is totally awesome!", but I'm really hoping it won't make getting pregnant more challenging. Hopefully it won't matter either way and soon we will all be KU and won't have to deal with it for a while.
I'm on my 3rd post-partum cycle. After the first two periods, I learned to use double super tampons after leaking at work :/ I've never had to use them when on BCPs.
My first three or so cycles off the pill were fine - and then the fourth hit and I was dying (I actually had to go to the hospital from work, my blood pressure crashed and the cramps had me lying on the floor of my office). I am now on a drug called Naproxin that I start taking the day before I am supposed to get my period, and that has done two great things : first, my cramps are almost entirely gone, and second, the flow seems to be more regulated.
I'm glad they got it regulated for you. I've never had bad cramps, but when I have they were from the devil.. so I'm glad the medicine you're on has helped you!
I was like that, had to change my ultra tampons every two hours for the first couple of days, Now that I had my fibroid removed, I think I've used maybe one pad a day for AF this cycle? It's pretty nice. Hopefully it gets a little stronger, but I'm digging it.
For those with heavy flow, try the Diva cup! No more tampons, no more leaking every hour, it seriously changed my life
Can you feel the Diva cup? Sometimes tampons bother me, and I tried Nuvaring for one month and HATED it because I could feel it....I've been curious about the cup but don't want to spend the money on something I can't use...

I only feel it when I put it in wrong. The only thing wrong with it, from my POC, was that I didn't want to use it when I was at work. My period was SO heavy that I would have to empty the cup every couple of hours, and there was nowhere to wash it out at work. It's great for weekends, though.
i totally feel this way. also, the first day of cramps are seriously debilitatingly painful. today is CD1.. i feel like i'm dying. the one good thing is though that the heavy leaves after like 2 days, but i spot for like 7...
My first couple of post partum periods I was on blood thinners and they were HORRID. But, now that I am off the thinners and bc, they aren't bad at all. Before Carter, my non-bc periods were a super heavy 7-10 day ordeal, bc periods were 7 heavy days. Now, my last thinner-free cycle was 4 moderate days. I am hoping that trend continues! My 'normal' cycle changed after DD too, so I am hoping this 4 day deal wasn't a fluke.
Feels weird that I want to thank DS for the lighter periods, lol.
