I'm off to Vegas via Hawaii early next year, we'll probably do the Great Ocean Road hike over Easter and then Botswana/Tanzania in October BUT there is an excellent deal to Moorea at the Hilton over-water bungalows. I am so tempted to book it but I can't justify it (because I'm cheap and an over planner). Why is there so many places and so little time...
Please tell me I'm not the only one with this problem (which is really not a bad problem to have )
Ha!! Sounds like half this board. I thought I'd have to cut back traveling now that I have a new baby, but we've got 2 trips booked and 1 planned next year.
Umm yeah...Maybe we should start a support group. In the past month we've booked a trip to Germany and London in December, Vietnam over Christmas, a few cities in the US next month while I'm there for home leave and we're currently trying to decide between going to Laos in January or Melbourne for the Australian Open.
I'm addicted too. Too bad I don't travel nearly as much as I'd like to. I am currently planning what will probably be a "phantom" trip to Italy. I am trying to convince my mom to go since she has always wanted to. I spent tons of time today drawing up an itinerary anc everything and emailed it to her. We'll see if that helps convince her. I don't know what is holding her back.
I have too little money, and too little vacation time to go everywhere that I want to!
Ditto.
I realized that in the first 10 months of the year, I used 1 month vacation btwn 2 trips. Now I have to start rebuilding vacation days all over. It sucks
We started in january with 2 weeks in Hawaii, then San Fran, Chicago, Vegas, Vegas again for Thanksgiving, and a 2 week trip to Asia in January. Doesn't even include our weekends away that we do at least 7 a year.
My problem is that I will only stay in suites on Celebrity cruise ships and at the Four Seasons when I am land based. Vacationing gets expensive.....
Count me in, too. I've even debated looking for a job at Costco travel since I'm in Seattle and it sounds fun to be able to plan other people's trips for them. (Kidding, mostly.)
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. Mark Twain

You only stay in Four Seasons?
Yes only the 4S unless one is not available in the city we are going to (but they are pretty much everywhere) or booked during our stay. We are roughing it at the Mandarin Oriental in January

That seems...odd. There are many, many as nice hotels in the world that are not 4 Seasons. To each his own.

I agree that there are many nice properties world-wide, I just really enjoy the 4S properties. I have never had a less than perfect experience at a 4S and when I travel I spend a lot so I expect a great experience.
I also really like to know what I am going to get from a property and this is a VERY consistent brand.

I am always looking for an excuse to travel and go on vacations which is why we do a lot of long weekend trips between our two annual long (a week or more) vacations.
