Hi! I spent most of the day at work and prepping for Sandy. But tonight I wanted a warm comforting dinner and I made that sausage bean ragout that you recommended a while ago! It was awesome! And easy! So, thank you!
Long Answer: Got doughnuts at Tim Horton for kid and my friend mentioned below:
Did psychological assessment (IQ) testing on a kid for practice for a class. Which went better than my attempt with a different kid yesterday (he broke down in tears and was so disregulated I had to go get his dad and stop the test)
Had lunch at an ok Mexican restaurant
Went to the library to get books for a paper/presentation (called grandparents on way to library, called friend who just had a baby on the way home - via handsfree car system lest anyone think I'm driving dangerously!)
Worked on a different presentation- made power point
Worked on presentation with the library books
Three loads of laundry, dishes.
About to write self-reflection paper for diversity class and do the readings for tomorrow.
If I have time I will write up some info for my AF scholarship application. Oh, and I should probably eat something in here, too.
ETA: Intermittent games of fetch and walks with the pup between writing sentences or folding things

We went to a friends house to celebrate her grandmother and to pray she will make it to Heaven. A very different glimpse into another culture. Over all a unique day. I learned a lot about other families.
I did some laundry, grocery shopping, took a nap, cleaned and made dinner. Basically, its what I do every Sunday. I started semi organizing the clothes I will bring to Buffalo this weekend. That basically means I was getting my sweaters ready haha. I also watched some crap Tv, namely Lindsay Lohan's I know who killed me. Man that movie was awful.
I finished a short story, spent three hours finalizing a seminar paper proposal/annotated bibliography from hell, did all the reading for my Keats class, and am now sitting down to dinner.

Went and picked up my puppies from the kennel, hung out with them, went to see H's graduation from a training he had to go for the past 3 weeks (yay that he was only 20 min away!). Hung out with H for an hour (he doesn't get to come home till tomorrow), came home and hung out with my doggies some more, now i am about to go to bed.
I worked. I trained in the NICU I love the premies but their veins are so dang small! IVs can be rough sometimes. Came home and ate leftover Chinese food. Woooo!

I went to work and prepared my house for the hurricane. Then my dryer died, so no I am looking online to find a way to either fix it or buy a new one. I feel so naked without my dryer working. Not that it would do anything in a power outage anyway.

Stay safe B!
It was our second lazy day in a row around here. We have both been sick so just taking it easy. I was working on a baby quilt when my needle in my sewing machine split in have TWICE! And so I had to put my project on hold until I can go buy another needle of the right size. I used another one I had around but it didn't work and so I had to quit while I was ahead. But I did get all 8 burp cloths I made today sewn which was good!
Other than that napped, had soup for dinner, watched Numbers on Netflix and worked on a puzzle.
I want to add a rant to mine. It is absolutely heartbreaking watching a newborn go through drug withdrawals! Sometimes I hate moms for doing these things to their unborn children. And yes, you are the reason that 2-day-old is seizing. :@

Worked on my halloween costume some more. This one has required me to remember my old electrical engineering classes and relearn how to solder. This is going to be the best costume ever. Sadly, my weekend parties were cancelled, so a lot of work for just one night, but I don't care!
And then I went to a MASH (military atheists and secular humanists) meeting that lasted for many hours (and many pitchers). It's really kind of fun because the only solid thing we have in common is atheism (and some related topics like love of science and a few progressive values like marriage equality), but we have raging political debates, without offense despite numerous differences, which rarely happens in real life.
We went to the local fair. It actually ended up being a lot of fun! DS loves animals so we spent most of the time in the petting zoo area. Then we came home and had homemade pizza for dinner.

I can only imagine how hard that must be to watch. People piss me off.
