(( Coming out of hiding)) I am thinking of you all! I hope the storm passes quickly and with minimal disruption. (CT -I still remember how tough it was for Sprout last year)
Be safe and let us know you are okay if you can. You know how this Jewish mommy worries ((Back into hiding))
I almost posted this as my fb status: "Forget batteries and water, I've got a trauma kid with a storm approaching - send wine!"
So that pretty much tells you how things are going in my house ::sigh::
BUT, we still have power, no flooding, and no down trees in our neighborhood so the good news is that the storm inside my house is worse than the one outside! so far.

Thinking about you all, too! So far so good here. I'm worried about the old house (the one we hope to rent out soon) and the 2 cars parked under the big tree there, but there's not much we can do at this point...
Things are here are fine. We have not lost power at all. A tree is down across the street but that is about it. Although I actually want to go to school tomorrow so I am not trapped with my three year old. Ugh I can not wait for three to be done!

I hear ya. I would love to go in tomorrow, but L stayed home with the kids today and well, tomorrow it is my turn so she can telework. The kids are driving me batshit crazy.

Duch, you are too sweet.
We're doing well. Gwen was asleep by 6:50, since it was a no nap, 5 hours in the car day. Bah. But we are all home, snuggled in safe and warm. Still have power (fingers crossed!).
This has been one boring storm. As much as I don't want people to have to deal with flooded and damaged property, the idea of having tomorrow off to write was very appealing to me. Bummer.
It's over here now. Can't believe we were only without power for about an hour! Seeing scary stuff coming out of NY. Waiting on word from friends in Bklyn, which is a disaster.
We are good! We fell on the lucky side of the 50% of our town who still has power AND Sprout's daycare is open. yay!! lol
its such a mess around here with tree limbs that the roads are still closed and we lost a huge branch from the tree closest to our house. Its a miracle that it didn't cause any damage...just is blocking our neighbor's driveway. Lots of clean up over the next few days!
Glad to hear everyone is doing well. We are home today (god help me). I am going to try to do plaster fun time ore something of the like. My child is driving me crazy already. Is it to early for wine?
We were lucky and never lost power (several flickers) and no structural damage. We have a leaky ceiling over our bay window, L punctured it and we collected about 2 gallons of water that was up there, but we've already contacted our handyman to come repair it this week.
The kids school is still closed (boo) and L is teleworking so I am childcare. I think we might make a jaunt across the street to Target to get some stuff we needed pre storm, but didn't want to purchase in case we lost power.
We have no power and no water. I couldn't get into work because there were too many downed power lines and trees. Luckily I made it in tonight. We have no cel service and feel pretty cut off from the world. Estimate at this time is 7- 12 days for power to come back.
We lost several large branches on our trees and took out part of our shingles on our roof.
Annie is being a trooper. She plays with her toys with her little flashlight. The only bad thing is for dinner she wants " something hot". No chance of that this week.
