20 Month Old DD Keeps Playing In Her Dirty Diaper

Ok ladies, need some help from some that have been there. 20 month old DD has started scratching her bottom several times a day (but not constantly). I checked for pinworms, but nothing there. This has been going on for about 1 month. Fast forward to this weekend. She has THREE episodes where the pooped in her diaper, then put her hand in her diaper and smeared the poop everywhere. It is not just happening a nap time/bed time, but any time she poops. I put her in PJs that prevent her from getting to her diaper last night, but that won't help during the day. Any ideas?

Can you put her in a onesie during the day?

She does seem a bit itchy -- I have been keeping the diaper cream on her. I will try Onesies during the day - thanks for the suggestion. She is a big kid (99% height and weight), so most onesies don't fit her anymore as we need a 3T. I'm sure I can find them online!

Maybe try an oatmeal bath and some lotion? Maybe its not diaper rash related, but just dry itchy skin?

We had friends who's daughter would take her diaper off. They put pants on her and then a onsie over it.

I would try some extra thick lotion on her bum. I know this time of year I have to put lotion on multiple times a day based on how dry the air is.

I think gerber makes 4t onesies.

She could also have a food allergy.
