Putting something between the baby and the carseat (like the way the Bundle Me is installed) is not considered safe by carseat manufacturers and can void the warranty.

The reason it's not safe it goes behind the straps on the car seat. (You only want to use something that goes over the baby, things that go behind can change the function of the car seat in a crash.) Look for a shower cap style cover. Like this:
Yes, I used something like that. You can put a blanket over her but under it, after you buckle her in, too. (Over the straps, not between baby and straps.)
I would like something to keep her warm. She is so wee and the winter is coming so soon
That's the one. It was toasty, but in addition to its safety I liked that the front could unzip all the way to help regulate temperature when we brought him inside stores.
