If you're in a hurricane and still have power, tell me what delightful snacks you have laid in for the hunkering.
If you're not in a hurricane but had to plan on being trapped in your house for three days, tell me what delightful snacks you would lay in for the hunkering. Pretend that money and nutrition/calories are no object.
We had pancakes for breakfast, english muffins and some random snacks for lunch, and pizza bread for dinner. But none of those are that strange since they all required power. DW did however make the most delicious cookie dough brownies. There's also some Ben and Jerry's in the freezer that DW declared she's grabbing immediately and eating all of if the power goes out. And we're stocked on bread products and pb, which is honestly what we'll probably eat if we're out of power for long. So far it has flickered a few times, but still on. We've never lost it in the 6+ years we've lived here, so we'll see if this breaks that trend.
We still have plenty of power and it doesn't look like we're going to get anything more than a bit of rain. I really didn't stock up on much. But I did plan on eating all of the artichoke spread, cheese, and olives in the fridge should the power have gone out. There are also some red velvet cookies on the counter that I might have already enjoyed.
we really didn't stock up on snacky foods. We have a lot of non perishable crackers/trail mix/protein bars that we have for the kids' lunch, but nothing exciting or yummy (L doesn't like having it in the house because then she eats it!)
