I used to do bootcamp 5 days a week and LOVED the intesity and the group type setting along with the hard work etc. However, my doctor basically put me on limited activity due to an injury with my back. I am not able to do high intensity stuff for a minimum of 8 weeks and possibly longer. He said I can do anything low impact that doesn't aggreviate my back/spine.
Suggestions on what I can do? I know walking and swiming but what else? I used to do cardio kickboxing which he said was off limits along with weights, running etc. I have a very bad feeling that I"m going to get bored - it's been 4 days of not working out and already I'm going crazy. I had a gym membership years ago but I gave that up when I started bootcamp (I was bored in the gym).
I was thinking spinning but when I asked the doc about it he said no. I have a problem with the discs in my back (at waist level and lumbar). He said bikes only if I'm sitting upright (no road/racing bikes) - aren't you bent over a lot during spinning?

I wouldn't say that proper form means being bent over. You can also raise your handlebars higher than most to keep your back safe. I hope this helps!
