Who has started or already been through this before and has some good advice for me? I know that there is a book out there that people swear by but don't know the title.
I am planning on doing registry after X-mas because we have a large lag time before I have to report back to school. Also, I am a Black Friday shopper so sales, sales, sales!!!
I borrowed Baby Bargains for my first kid. I used it for helping to make big decisions, like the crib, car seat. I also have a Consumer Reports subscription that helps with the bigger items. I didn't register, though, so I'm not sure about all of the other stuff. I wouldn't get too hell bent on tons of research on every single thing. Except I loved the Aiden + Anais blankets we used.

Baby Bargains. I started my registry about a month or so ago online and went into the store to take a physical look at things and finalize everything after my anatomy scan. MH didn't want to go at first, but he seemed to be pretty excited picking out the girly stuff (I had to delete some pretty ridiculous things off when I got home)
Well, now I'm overwhelmed Good thing I have nine months to figure all of this stuff out!!!
I was too until I read the Baby Bargains book. It seriously helps narrow down the choices and gives you a decent idea of what you really don't need to bother with (although this is coming from a FTM so we'll see how awesome those rec's are in a few months)
Thanks Joolz! My sister is sending me her copy of Baby Bargains, and we just found out that there is a baby mega-store (the biggest in the UK) with personal shopper services about 45 minutes away from us...so when the time comes, we can get their help too:-) Just seeing the list was kind of overwhelming....that's a whole lotta stuff!!!
