I just learned about this and need some recommendations for product.
Right now I am using a Rimmel liquid liner (b/c that's what I had on hand). It works, and I like the way it looks, but the liner gets on my lower lash line pretty often.
I read a ton of reviews on MUA for Mac's Blacktrack vs the UD 24/7 pencil. Any pros or cons for these (or another product I should consider). If it matters, I wear contacts.

I've never tried tightlining with anything but a pencil, I can't imagine how I wouldn't poke my eye out with a brush but I might have to try it. I use both UD 24/7 in Zero and MAC Smolder.

The Rimmel brush actually makes it really easy to tightline, but the liquid is pretty thin, so if I don't get it right on the first swipe, I'm usually SOL b/c adding more makes it bleed into my eyes. I was thinking maybe a pencil would be easier too, but then saw a few videos on YouTube using Blacktrack with a liner brush.
at LM they did it with their flat eyeliner brush and said to get the liner to the consistency of "shoe polish." It didn't seem to be messy at all - she said she looks down into a mirror and then kind of pushes her lid down with her finger to make the eyelash line pop out a little and make it easier to reach.
This is one of the best, I think. Although, BM has a pencil that works really well, IMO. I've done it w/ liquid, but it's harder. I prefer pencil (esp for the top) but gel/pots work good too.
