It's super easy and very cheap!
I soak 1 cup of organic raw almond overnight (you could maybe use roasted, unsalted, but I use raw). Then after 8-12 hours, drain the almonds (you can use the water on plants if you want). Put soaked almond and 4 cups water in a blender (I use my Vitamix, but any blender will do fine) and blend for a couple minutes. Pour into a milk nut bag (which is what I use, they cost about $8) or layered cheese cloth. You can then sweeten/flavor as you want (vanilla extract, etc). Fresh homemade almond milk can be stored in the fridge for about a week.
It really is very easy, you just need to remember to soak them overnight, then it just takes about 5 minutes! Seriously.
If you have any use for almond meal, you can dehydrate the almond pulp in the oven.

Oh, I also love it because it's not sweet like many of the store bought ones. In general, use it plain, but have also made hot cocoa with it. Delicious! And, there are no preservatives, etc in it.
