I have a regular bathing suit that I sort of like in a "it will do" sort of way. This year, I am going to be starting to SUP (Stand up Paddleboard). I feel as though I need some board shorts for this....which would probably require a tankini top..which I'm having a hard time finding since I not only need lots of boob support (lots), I am long torso, and really don't want to show skin..

I really prefer competition-type suits for water activities. I just feel more confident they aren't going anywhere and despite the lack of cups, they do support you. You wouldn't think so by looking at them, but they do. I wore them all the time when I worked at the Y one summer. As a bonus, they are meant to withstand being in the water all the time.

Have you looked at title 9? They have lots of board shorts, and their suits are made to be worn and used, not just for sunbathing. They're not cheap, but they last a whole lot longer than other suits I have had.

I saw a couple of super cute tankinis that were made by Spanx (I swear I'm not calling you fat!) on zulily last week (gone now), but that site is blocked as "provocative attire" at work.
You can also do a very supportive sports-bra type swimsuit top with a rash guard over.
Oh, I don't have my own paddleboard, lol! There is a group in my area that does meet ups and many of them have and bring extra boards. I would loooove my own board, but I'm not even sure I'm much I'm going to love it to make the investment in one.
HAB -- that first suit you posted made LOL!
So many things to choose from! I knew you girls would be able to help.

I would check out places like barenecessities.com and herroom.com and figleaves.com. They all have a great selection of bras and I think they all sell swimwear too. Some of the bra companies make swimwear by bra size, including tankinis or long torso stuff.
OH! And check out Lands End - they have some tunic tankini type tops that I love. And they come in d-cup and stuff like that if you need it.

thanks, mesh! Those ones you posted, though? FAAAARRR to short for this girl! I wear dresses not shorts in the summer because of my thighs, lol!
I know what you're saying. My regular shorts all hit at my knees for that reason. Of course, I only wear shorts maybe 14 days of the year. I make allowances for the beach, though. I figure they're still covering more than my suit.
I have no idea what stand up paddleboard involves, but will there be any significant water movement around your torso? If so, you might want to wear a one-piece with shorts over it. Or if you do a tankini, just make sure the top is really snug. My top was not that snug at the bottom when I went to the beach last year, and all the waves kept pushing it up. I really liked wearing shorts, but next time, I'm going to do shorts over a one-piece.

So I imagine there is falling and swimming involved, too? I'd be concerned that a tankini would get pushed up by water when you fall, but maybe not if it's snug enough?
