I'm pretty sure I've asked this before, since I've been on the hunt for the perfect Christmas stockings for YEARS now (truly, lol! still kicking myself for not just getting the silver sage PB ones I loved years ago), but where did you get your stockings? What should I expect to pay for decent ones? I want ones that either come with personalization or that have a space for me to get them personalized.
For a long time, I've been looking for ones that were silver/ silver sage/ white/ cream to coordinate with our silver-and-blue themed tree, but now I think we'll have 2 trees, so I'm a little more flexible. The regular big tree will still be silver and blue, but the family room tree will be the skinny one we got last year, and it will house all the red and green, hand-me-down, and kids-crafts ornaments. I don't know which room the stockings will go in, but something like white or silver would go with either tree (right?).
I came across these today, which might do. They're $20 (post-coupons, pre-shipping), though, so they seem a little pricey for the quality (and they're a little lower quality than I was hoping for). But I have no idea what's "normal." Thoughts?
I'm glad I'm not the only one obsessed with stockings! (see my TTT on TB). I think that white/silver one is cute. I'm looking forward to see what TMM finds!
My mom cross stitched ones for my bro and I.... that won't be happening this year! I'll be stalking this thread, too,a nd let you know if I come up with anything.
FWIW--basic ones at Target were $13. So, I think $20 is reasonable.
After browsing Etsy for a couple hours last night, I think I've decided to have some sewn for me. I love the look of burlap! I guess I won't worry about adding names until a later date, when our family is complete.

I'm planning to have our names put on whatever ones we end up with, and also getting a couple extra blank ones. I figure the embroidery will be relatively easy to match. Plus having some blank extras will be useful if we have relatives with us around the holidays-- stick an initial pin on it and they have a stocking.

Why don't you get the stockings you want, and do something temporary to put the names on? Like a cute little tag. Or even stitch on a matching piece of fabric with the names painted/ironed/embroidered on? I know it may feel shitty to have them be "temporary" - but that you can change them to reflect exactly who is in your family this xmas, next xmas, etc. Just a thought!

That's a good idea! Thanks.
Oh and obv I meant to say that you K's would be the same (with removable names), so that they all look the same.
